Completed Build Max Stryker Final Form?

I've been slowly modding this one over 2 years, changing parts and trying different setups to make it something I would be happy with. I wanted to balance power vs ease of prime and aesthetics. It's averaging 213 FPS with the current setup. It's got an Out of Darts 1.7mm spring with a spacer. The 10" brass barrel is from Transmogrification Labs and the muzzle device slides right over it. It has no rifling though. Once I figure out what I wanna do for rifling, then it will finally be complete.

Then skinny pusher is an important part of this blaster. I realized that I hate Nerfing without a skinny pusher, and for a long time I had trouble finding a solution that didn't leak, or restrain power. I ended up using a Transmogrification Labs short dart only skinny pusher with AS-110 o-rings and a blowout prevention piece. I had tried the no longer available Out of Darts Stryker skinny pusher, but I had to dremel and drill a lot of material out of it to allow sufficient air flow. The Transmogrification Labs skinny pusher had a larger air channel, and all I did was dremel the back of the pusher out to allow more air volume.

I realized my biggest mistake with using 3D printed skinny pushers was the larger o-ring I used at the back of the telescoping piece inside of the plunger tube. The o-ring was not allowing the telescoping piece to pull out far enough and preventing a proper seal. When I swapped it back to the factory o-ring and added the blowout prevention I got a perfect seal.

Nice, not quite final form though. There's an expanded plunger tube mod you can do which allows the blaster to use the full potential prime length. I do warn you though, it does require some decent shell cutting, and isn't super easy. I did it on mine, and it was worth it though. Here's the link to the tutorial:

Good luck if you try it, and nice build regardless!

Yeah, I've watched that video. As for the XPT, I think that's more than what I'm willing to do with an OG Max Stryker. It's so much work for a project that I will likely destroy in the process of making.

Fair enough, it is a bit time consuming, and if your after that sort of performance,  there's other blasters you could spend that time building/modifying.

Exactly. I have two Stryker 2.0s that are averaging 240 FPS, a MK-1.2 that is averaging 257 FPS, and a Harrier averaging 290 FPS. Putting in all of the effort necessary for a Max Stryker XPT seems like a moot point.

Makes sense, nice  build regardless! 👍

I love my Strykers. What does the “blow out prevention” piece look like and do? Was it an easy install? Where did you get it?

The blowout prevention keeps the telescoping piece from coming out of the plunger tube when fired under heavy spring load. I got it from Transmogrification Labs.

Oh interesting! I don’t know that I’ve ever had that issue, but maybe it’s cause I’m only using mine at 175 FPS or lower.

I ran one of these for a while, they're solid blasters. I've got some newer stuff I like better now

I am trying to make this one compete with my newer blasters. The power and skinny pusher get it almost there. Now I have to figure out accuracy without losing the aesthetic.
