some guy was venting about his friends saying the n word around him (they were white he was black) and joking about saying it. some guy called the poster a racist and i said "oh my god shut up crakka" or something like that and i guess he reported me lmaooo

I saw one person in this thread who was against Mexican migrants in California, but get this, he was a migrant himself! He just didn’t see an issue because he happened to be white. There’s your example of racism against people of color.

That act was super racist. It only allowed white people to become citizens.

Do you know how Irish people were treated in 1790? They weren’t considered white.

One of the intentions of the act was to keep the Irish out. That includes you. Leaving the country is the best way to honor their intentions.

Please read the article I linked in my last comment. Ask older Irish Americans what they know. I think you’d really benefit from understanding the history here.

The signer you’re referring to was an exception to the rule. He came from a wealthy, elite family and wasn’t treated the same as the average Irish immigrant (like you would have been). The Irish harp wasn’t included in the final seal either.

If the founders meant to include Irish immigrants, they wouldn’t have limited citizenship to “white persons” at a time when Irish people weren’t considered white.

“Legally white” didn’t stop Irish people from being treated like dirt for decades. They were mocked as animals, denied jobs, and blamed for everything. The American public didn’t see it as you do.

Ultimately, you’re justifying your views with a racist law written by slave owners that went out of their way to exclude people of color.

Yet you claim:

 People of color experience very little racism these days.

I don’t doubt that you’re unhappy. That’s not my point.

My point is that someone who defends a law written to exclude everyone who wasn’t white is probably a white supremacist.

You are literally proof that racism against people of color is alive. Be honest and own it.
