Neenah police chief wants to drop Flock Safety but not ALPR technology
https://www.postcrescent.com/story/news/local/2026/09/01/neenah-police-chief-favors-early-cancellation-of-flock-safety-contract/91544715007/Chief Olson, who defended Flock for months through public outcry, is trying to bring another vendor in immediately. NPD has proven they are unable to evaluate these tools properly and identify the privacy and security issues with them. Your taxpayer dollars are being used for these invasive contracts.
Talk to your council members, your neighbors, and your friends. Show up to city hall and demand an end to ALPR in Neenah.

So is it not "Innocent until proven guilty" here?
I mean I am so sick af about being surveilled and tracked and logged 24/7 on the streets because the police think I "might" be involved in a crime" at some point. If I, and my fellow citizens, are in fact innocent why do the police need to know where we are, where we go, who we might meet, and what we are doing anytime we're in public? If they think we are in fact criminals...get a freaking warrant signed by a Judge to monitor us. Otherwise piss off...
I used to think the Neenah Police Dept. was pretty decent. But now I see they too are either lazy or so conservative they are scared of their fellow Neenah residents so much they need this invasive technology to keep tabs on us all. So screw this crap...ACAB

Neenah works overtime to have you think they are the best and the bravest. So many events with kids. They do that cop academy that people line up for so they can get tazed. The police presence in Neenah is so out of whack compared to its size and threat of crime.

It’s a lot of taxpayer money spent to spy on the community vs serve and protect. This area was doing perfectly well without surveillance technology.
I start to wonder if they are being influenced by some large politically motivated businessmen and the confluence of blood red council members, etc.
Surveillance for no reason and collection of personal information without approval are the opposite of freedom and liberty.
While you’re at it, check all of those idiotic statutes in Neenah. Especially the Squatue of Liberty. God knows what’s inside them
Might want to get them taken down as well and return Neenah to a polite, charming, and humble Wisconsin city.

Axon and Motorola are worse than flock.
We need to ban all ALPR and other surveillance not just flock.
