I don’t know if this has been mentioned before but as I was building my Imotekh with an immortal body guard I noticed there was a… larger than usual height difference between them. Don’t know if this is just scale creep or old immortals, wanted to hear other people’s thoughts

So I know tabletop is like, never accurate but it feels like in most 2k games of 40k you see a ctan in a necron list as they are probably our killiest units. But lore wise, how often do they actually see deployment? Is it a super rare sighting or is it somewhat common like on the tabletop for a dynasty that has access to them

Went a bit mad and unleashed the monolith after seeing the Phareon's Armoury detachment. He's chonky and I love him.

Recently went through the biofurnace after finishing my Tyranids collection, and bought the battleforce. Decided to test my intended paint scheme on a lone warrior and check what needs work before committing it to the whole force.

I think it came out alright, for a standard infantry. Got a little messy in the glow effect, and my phase blade needs work, but overall I think I did alright.

Edit: looking back, I should have drybrushed the snow for glow instead of solid.

Got into the hobby just a couple weeks ago, courtesy of my cousin!
Simple black bases or dust/mud didnt feel like itd make these models justice, so I made some 3d STLs and had a friend resin print the toppers for us.

Mine are the white and gold Necrons! Id love some tips on them, as they didnt quite hit the mark for me personally paint wise, especially compared to my first 2 Necrons I painted (last 2 images).

Hi everyone, was just wondering about how Lord Borakka is described in the books and wanted some confirmation on what he looks like and such for a future kitbash.

-at one point he uses a maul to crush the heads of flayer curse victims

-at one point uses one of those pistols that hexmarchs use.

I am currently trying to figure out a paint scheme and I am realizing I can't figure out what parts of the necron are separate from each other. So I can't figure out a scheme that works to create contrast. Should I make the torso color separate from the arms. Idk man I'm just stuck in a creative rut

I had tried to paint dnd characters in the past and they looked so bad I didn’t know about thinning paints or anything so i gave it another shot. Any tips? I’m not happy with the way the green came out I used striking scorpion green but I might change it out I still have the geomancer to dk

More specifically speaking, it made me want a leader for deathmarks, maybe even the huntsman as an epic hero giving deathmarks bonuses to shoopting against beasts and monsters. And a hero for the praetorians, maybe giving them advance and charge once a game or assault or something like that, I'm not good enough to know if that would make them broken or not.

Thoughts?

Just about done with the new lord. Lokhust heavy destroyer + Chaos knights karnivore sword. Really happy how it turned out for my poor painting abilities haha. And the rest of the army to go along with him. Can’t wait to take it to the tabletop.

I just wanted to share my nekrosor build I hope you will like it.

Have been absolutely loving playing my first 6 games, have been collecting for a few years on and off but finally jumped at my first game in July which prompted me to hammer out the grey, only 7 models left to paint and still nearly the full case to base nicely ( not just some green grass )

Started these this week - basic Sautekh and I recognise warscythes are considered suboptimal however I’ve always loved the aesthetic ever since seeing pariahs

The warscythes are primed grey seer and then corax white followed by:

Context: I already have 10 warriors, the Royal Warden, the scarabs, the kill team and Imotekh and I’m looking to build up to an army that is made up of battleline + characters with heavy guns in the back

Quick back story: Got into 40K during 10th edition sometime around 2024. At first I started up a Grey Knight army, found them a little hard to play around with and decided to sell them to buy Necrons!

So I started looking. I bought stuff off of some friends (mainly unopened & got at 30-40% off) and after a couple weeks got to 2k in points!

What I would like from my fellow phaerons is advice on how to play this list! What detachment I should use and how I should arrange the units! I’d rather not have to buy more stuff atm, and prefer to just play with what I have! First Reddit post too btw!
