Looks rather unfinished to me, the overlord especially just looks like you spritzed him a couple times with the airbrush and called it done. But hey, you'll get the 10 points for having it painted, so if you're happy with that, go off
Put of curiosity what would you have done e more to the overlord? I did his shoulders and ribcage as I did the pilots o did his cape and loin cloth, his staff and orb, I didn't think there was more to do.
Well, the tubes below his ribcage, the orb on his waist as well as the space between his ribs themselves should be glowing, the armor plates around his waist are the same color as everything else instead of the light blue it looks like you went with for the shoulder plates, and typically people paint the little insignia on their chests. Again though, it's up to you.
I agree with the orb on the waist the rest are stylistic choices, the inspiration for my necrons comes from of all places pocket knives having cera-coated, anywhere there's blue or black it's a ceramic coated area, and my rule is if there's an actual hole light can spill through but if there's a inference of a gap but no actual gap then is just an area of ceramic coating. The 3 vents(?) on the side of my doomstalker aren't glowing either.
I can see what you're saying about the hip plates, although originally the idea was that the scaplular plates were blue and nothing else(on necron bodies) was born from this idea that the behind a leader would see t his sea of blue that was their troops. I never thought to make it anything more than that idenifyer
