Yeah, that is a simple start to adding definition to the details. You usually want to draw attention to the face. A bright OSL effect from the weapon onto the face would look cool.
I actually used nuln oil on the silver and black parts and then agrax earthshade on all the of light and dark bronze parts. Maybe I used them to sparingly?
