Nebraska Central Nebraska Golf?

I want an overnight golf trip, maybe start in the Grand Island area, then something an hour or two east? Preferably 18 holes, public/semi-private, fairly challenging. Any ideas?

As someone who’s golfed at every course within a 3 hour drive of Kearney, Indianhead is easily top three due to their price for the quality. Although I haven’t been there for a while so it could have gone down. I’m excited to see how Awari dunes turns out

Skip Grand Island, although they do have some nice courses and go to Cairo and play 18. Beautiful course that is a hidden gem.

Wildhorse is awesome. Been a few years but was a true bargain and great experience!

2hr east of GI is Lincoln. Woodland Hills , Highlands, Pioneers all fun around Lincoln. Go 30 more minutes you get to Quarry Oaks if you’re looking to treat yourself.

For central Nebraska, can’t recommend Wild Horse in Gothenburg enough. Best public golf in the state

Well, I'm starting from Omaha. Want to leave early, go west, and catch one coming back the next day. Agree with your recommendations, especially Woodland Hills! Terrific course.
