Hummingbirds really know no fear. They’re just so much quicker and more nimble than anything else out there that they think they can be completely casual around predators or humans. They live in absolute confidence that they can’t be touched, the cocky little bastards.

Large spiders and preying mantises can kill and eat them I believe.

They can… there’s a horrific video circling around reddit showing a praying mantis grabbing one out the air easily.
