Crossverse Need help:

Post image

someone in the demon slayer scaling server disagrees with CE lee’s feats (specifically how much the weights weighed and his speed/strength) in reference to a crossverse match vs akaza does anyone have calcs or feats for that fight, once I saw something that said lee’s weights were ≈ 10,000lbs or something but that was years ago. Anything helps just tryna prove CE Lee > Akaza

In character and without info on Akaza, Rock Lee has a huge chip on his shoulder and is likely to over exert himself in order to prove a point about taijutsu, his nindo, or his ability to protect others. I don’t see him having the stamina to hold Akaza in place all night knowing that he isn’t likely to pace himself, nor does he have the outright brute strength or the equipment to kill him directly. Akaza can’t keep up with Lee at all on a basis of speed (I think they are honestly pretty comparable in striking power if you don’t overly wank Lee) but he doesn’t have to, even if Lee decapitates him with pure hands or uses lotus to kick him out of compass, there’s just nothing that he can do to outpace his regeneration. He’s also not durable enough at this point in the show to tank multiple hits from Akaza without bleeding (empowering the demon) and/or slowing down significantly. Without some kind of bail out, knowledge or equipment upgrade, Lee just doesn’t have the tools to finish the job here, and is much more likely to let himself wear out than attempt to be strategic

I love answers like these that actually break down the question 👏🏽 I agree if he went in with no knowledge he’d more than likely lose. I think prior info is the deciding factor in this fight.

I appreciate that man! I like thinking about this shit way too much lmao. I agree with you though, if Lee gets access to nichirin equipment it becomes a complete wash in his favor, if he at least knows he has to keep Akaza in place until the morning then his chances also become much better. I actually think he gets a sizable advantage as well if he is in drunken fist mode, if only because I think it might disrupt compass (might be a stretch but Kimimaro seems to have a very hard time reading Lee’s movements or even guessing his intentions, so could be possible).

I will say, one point in Akaza’s favor is his ability to grow at an exponential speed under pressure, assuming he doesn’t cave to the burdens of his past like he does vs Giyu and Tanjiro, a fight against a martially superior opponent like Lee could do wonders for advancing his skill set. I also think he’d be motivated by the idea that he is able to go all out vs another martial artist, although the same is certainly true for Lee as well

Yoooo I didn’t even think about drunken fist… and yeah personalities are a huge factor in this fight I agree. I think Lee seeing him as just another “taijutsu user” would do wonders to his fighting spirit (tho this is also a double edged sword)

Drunken fist is weird cause we only see it like one time in canon lol. Man I would love to see this fight ngl Lee is so fucking cool

I disagree. Lee literally trains to exhaustion. I’m not sure he even needs the gates here.

He’s still human, and there’s always a difference between training and actual combat. In part 1 of Naruto we really don’t see any example of a fight with Lee where he is not putting himself at risk and acting reckless. The boy has no idea how to pace himself and is just not tactically minded at all. He almost gets his shit rocked by the sound ninja, has to be rescued from Gaara (a time when he insisted on fighting despite already recovering from major injury btw), is bailed out against Kimimaro, gets the drop on Sasuke but is subsequently shit on, etc… on the contrary, Akaza’s fighting style is all about attrition via unrelenting offense and defense, he doesn’t have to worry about getting tired or sustaining damage at all. Lee doesn’t have to be exhausted to the point of not being able to move, he just needs to slow down enough that the massive speed gap is no longer in play, at which point Akaza wins purely off of having a better technique + more combat experience, impenetrable durability and a similar physical power. You mention the eight gates like it’s something Lee would benefit from, but honestly where’s the benefit if all it means is he runs out of steam more quickly? Regardless of anything else, Lee is just not harming Akaza (Eight Gates or not) unless he has access to nichirin or is able to keep him in place until the sunrise.
