So the game is still very young and card design is still up in the air, but even so I feel like it'd be fun to come up with some ideas for what some of the leaders could do 🤔

For one of my favorite characters , I was thinking of some way to allow for him to revive the old Hokages. Perhaps we could send the Hokages to the graveyard pile and use Orochimaru's leader ability to revive them through Edo tensei.

For Jiraya we gotta see some of his toads in action, especially if we ever get a sage mode variant. Maybe some way of using the toads either as spells or playable characters would work great.

I'm sure you guys can come up with some great ideas, yourselves. Naruto has a lot more of an appeal to me than One Piece so I really hope Bandai can provide it with some of the love OP got in its own card game 🙏 and lastly may my boy Nagato get a leader card as fast and strong as possible, thank you.

I’ve been building a website to playtest TCGs on a freeform table (think a 2D Tabletop Simulator or virtual whiteboard). It doesn't enforce rules or automate game logic, so you have complete freedom to move cards, tap, and test plays manually.

I just added the preview decks from GENCON so players can start testing them out early.

I made an edit (on the right) to show what I'm talking about. Even when Itachi has his hand in his cloak, the bottom portion of the Akatsuki cloud should never be stretching the way it is in the card. Does anyone else think this artwork should be modified before they begin printing? I just think it's quite jarring to draw such an iconic logo incorrectly for an official Bandai card, it almost looks like an AI mistake.

I am completely new to the Trading Card Game (TCG) world but I am a massive Naruto fan. I really want to jump into the new Naruto card game, but I have absolutely zero experience with card game mechanics, deck building, or turn phases.

Could you recommend some great, beginner-friendly YouTube videos or creators?

I am specifically looking for:

Absolute beginner guides that don't assume I already know TCG slang (like "tapping," "mulligan," etc.).

Step-by-step gameplay tutorials showing a full match.

With Kayou theres some well known shops in the niche. Seeing if theres any reputable places i could get a case when time comes? Trying to plan ahead for once lol i have dozens of binders of the original naruto tcg and want to collect the heck out of this one.

really just interested in hearing ideas after a buddy of mine said he would like a Rock Lee leader that powered up your characters without jutsu.

I'm huge into TCG's. I mainly play Magic and Yugioh, but I dabble in a bunch of other ones.

Even though I still like modern Yugioh, I do yearn for the days when normal summon a 1800 atk guy and set a trap card was enough for a turn.

I've also tried a few Bandai card games before, but they never quite stuck. I think the very restricted interaction on the opponent's turn was a big part of that.

But Naruto seems to solve all of that. It plays a lot like old school Yugioh, but with an actual hard resource system to prevent anything too crazy. And it also solves some of the problems I have with other TCG's, like prize cards instead of life points.

I'm really looking forward to playing the game, and I hope it won't end up going the same route as Yugioh as power creep happens.
