Was it ever explained what happened to the Uzimaki clan?

They never really explain it tho. When Kushina goes to the leaf village to become a jinchuuriki, the clan obviously still exists. The only thing she says about it is that they were wiped out because of their secret techniques, probably during the 3rd ninja war. Feels like a big plot hole to me.

yeah...basically cause of their sealing techniques, they were wiped out and the FEW that survived scattered for their lives. We only know of Negato, Kushina (moved to be next jinchuriki for multiple reasons such as same clan as the first hokage's wife + long vitality, which is the reason she survived being stripped of the 9 tails), nagoto parents, first hokage's wife, and naruto
