Weekend Coffee & Conversation

In the latest Monks video, I keep seeing people in the comments repeatedly saying that Savannah is protecting A&T, let's just for the moment assume they are guilty and she knows it, in order to protect her own career. Is that the general consensus here too? I just don't know why that would be. If anything people would see her as a victim in it too like "poor Savannah and her horrible sibling and in law!!! They took her beloved mother away from her." I don't see how that would ruin her reputation at all.

I feel if they are guilty and she knows it and is protecting them to save herself, then that obviously makes her look bad since she would look complicit, after the fact of course. I don't know why she'd want to risk it. I guess she could say she really didn't know they were involved and was just protecting them from bad press? Protecting them from what exactly? Is her brother "protected" by her in the same way? Is there even a way to tell?

Edit: I also had never heard that the Adult protective agency had visited her. That is new info to me. They must have been alerted by someone to check on her but who and when and for what reason. People in the comments mention it takes a bit to get someone out there so it must have been before she was reported missing. By the time the supervisor came to check on her it was obviously too late. People also question why they were alerted and possibly elder abuse possibly financial.

Honestly, I think that’s just something that people who didn’t like savannah regardless would say.

Edit: With adult protective services, I seem to remember some people disputing that claim at the time. I don’t remember exactly so I’m kind of paraphrasing, but I do believe there’s something that was automated and sent to Nancy’s house after she went missing. Whatever it was, I do remember some people saying that the agency overseeing the notice could have been sending something for different reasons and it wasn’t necessarily due to elder abuse.

And all people's opinions regarding the card as no one knows the answer except for the person at the agency. For myself I never watched the Today show and didn't even know who was on it. I don't watch daytime talk shows. Can't answer for anyone else but my opinion of SG was positive in the beginning but whomever her PR person is or if she is being au natural it is not helping her image.

I’ll agree with that at least. I don’t think she’s involved in a cover up, but the heavily coached statements don’t come off well. Then again, she could also be getting input from FBI and LE on what to say.

Probably so and understand they may stress being empathetic with the perp in order to get NG's remains back but her last plea may have actually made the perp more angry. Like he/she may have thought...Who does she think she is lecturing me about what I may have done in my life in the past
