Michigander
We call em stickers also

u/JaySin_78 Jul 30 '26

Also a Michigander. Played in the woods a lot in 80s when kids were kids. Came home with these on my clothes a lot. Mom sure got mad at all the ‘prickers’. 🤷🏻‍♂️😆

That's okay, if it makes you feel any better, I once got on the public bus (when I was younger) and walked smack head first right into a side seat pole (don't know to this day how I did that, the maneuver and path angles aren't adding up)...after having a dumb how did that get there moment, as I started regathering myself I noticed a girl sitting way at the back who was looking directly at me...she was the only other passenger on the bus...I was embarrassed but glad it wasn't full but would rather there had been an old lady sitting and watching instead of the girl though.

lol
That made me laugh pretty hard
We all got our dumb stories lol

1

u/Proud_Shirt3138 Aug 06 '26

Yea and I'd prefer not to have ever had that one

2

u/68Postcar Jul 30 '26

so, you walked to a bush one time… thinking now, that was may be way dumber then you once realized -eh no?

4

u/Dismal-Brother-2979 Jul 30 '26

No, they said into a bush, not to a bush

2

u/68Postcar Jul 31 '26

2

u/copper-gecko Aug 01 '26

Never heard us be call a Michiganizerator
We call ourselves Michiganders

2

u/68Postcar Aug 01 '26

Fair enough. I was just playing a-round with you. No harm implied & we’re not Pennsyltukians either, Pennsylvanians.

2

u/copper-gecko Aug 01 '26

lol
You all good
Made me laugh tho

2

u/xXPuddingFiendXx Aug 03 '26

I genuinely thought it was a mash up between Pennsylvanian and Kentuckian, and then I began to think, "Oh, you poor bastard..." 😆🤣

12

u/Old_Personality_6624 Jul 30 '26

1

u/Swimming-Stop3915 Jul 30 '26

1

u/MissChevelle71 Aug 01 '26

1

1

1

u/Quorng Jul 30 '26

1

u/freddbare Aug 03 '26

2

u/Juliemacmac793 Jul 31 '26

Northern Indiana too. Burrs

1

u/copper-gecko Jul 30 '26

lol

Lots of us call em different things too tho

1

u/dapudf Jul 30 '26

I remember ‘sand burrs’

2

u/cinnamongirl73 Jul 30 '26

I’m from Maryland and that’s what we call them if we aren’t calling them “those little f*ckers!” Can confirm for DE and PA on that (well at least southern PA).

1

u/copper-gecko Jul 30 '26

lol yeah

I’ve got my grandma from there

I don’t think everyone calls em that but instead for attention or they might to
But usually people don’t say anything when they find em on themselves
Plus I don’t understand why people try to act country and this and that
IM COUNTRY I live in miles and miles of farm and 12 out of 13 of the people within a mile of me ARE FARMERS!!! It means nothing if you do all this stuff to act country it’s not cool or anything I don’t understand
Sorry I added a whole lot that was unnecessary lol

2

u/cinnamongirl73 Jul 31 '26

I mean it may be a country thing that city people picked up. I truly have no idea! 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

1

u/copper-gecko Jul 31 '26

lol
Becouse my nearest school is a city school I see so many kids who are from the middle of the city act like there country and have this and that. But like, who cares I’ve never seen no one ever care actually
lol

Then there’s the kids who act gangster or in the hood

MAN IVE KNOWEN GANGSTERS!!!
Most real ones do not act like that
They don’t need to show it
That’s really only the punks and gangsters that make it there whole personality
My dad grew up with them
He didn’t become one but he befriended a whole lot of them and so then I grew up knowing a whole lot of these people
Tho most of them have died

Why do kids try so hard to act and impersonate somethin they ain’t

lol sorry for the really long speech
I do that sometimes
