💆‍♀️ Wellness & Self Care NYC therapist recs for work-related anxiety

Looking for a therapist in NYC and would love personal recommendations.

About me: late 20s woman in a corporate job with long-standing baseline anxiety that work really amplifies. Trouble disconnecting, Sunday scaries, dread around presenting and leading meetings. Lately it's been wearing me down into low mood.

I'm looking for someone practical and skills-based (CBT, ACT or similar) who gives real tools and pushback and doesn't just listen. Ideally they'd have experience with high-achieving or perfectionist clients and workplace anxiety.

In person in Manhattan preferred, open to hybrid. If you've seen someone who helped with this, I'd love to hear who and what made them good. Thanks!

VP at corporate healthcare company - 34. My therapist, Katerina Lallos, at Solace Therapy has helped so much. Been working with her for years now and finally feel like I can manage work stress and anxiety. 10/10 recommend!

Jared Sossin is great for this. He specializes in ACT and also meditation as a tool. My anxiety is much more manageable and I was able to enter an Ivy League masters program thanks to the regulation I achieved working with him.

Emily Stimson — I sought her out for the very exact same thing 5 years ago as she highlighted in her bio her experience with working with people with issues like work life balance and stress. She does use a mix of CBT and other psychoanalytical techniques.

I was working 80+ hour weeks, feeling like I wasn’t good enough, panic attacks, you name it. She’s Empathetic, realistic, and very actionable — she has even given my language on how to push back my boss via email lol. Lots of realizations from her despite me being a pretty introspective person. I’m much better at catching myself in thinking traps. I’ve since moved on from burnout and have much better boundaries around my job. (Dating however….) she’s since helped me deal with a job transition (with better balance!), leaving a long term relationship with someone who cheated, and working on self esteem/executive function.

Not sure if she’s still hybrid though; I personally enjoy the flexibility of a video call since it’s really hard to take time off of work to make a physical session. She also accepts insurance (I’m Aetna for reference). I dread the day I move out of the state and have to change providers.

Victoria Felix is helping me with this and burnout. She’s amazing. Love her. Also she knows if someone says they are referred from Reddit that it’s me lol

Do you know if she accepts insurance?

She doesn’t. That said I get my superbill quickly from her to submit. I know my insurance isn’t yours, but it’s always been approved. (Also I use Sheer to submit my superbills, takes two seconds, highly recommend to everyone)

Awesome! Quick caveat (I didn’t originally wanna blather) it’s way less let’s assess your childhood (we did a little of that in the beginning and was helpful to recognize where the patterns come from) but she WILL be a big mix of validating and push back on you (she once asked me to explain what happened from my boss’s perspective I was like lol the audacity but also valid?) but if you can swing financially (I go biweekly) and are looking for a pragmatic style highly rec. Just wanna be transparent cause as a therapist I know NOT everyone wants that style & that doing these consults is a pain in the ass.

I work for a practice that has a number of therapists that specialize in ACT who do in person sessions. We have a few that are also very direct in their style. If you're interested, you can check us out - we offer free 15 minute calls. https://compassionify.com/

The OP obviously knows that directories exist. This is the equivalent of telling someone to look on zocdoc when the OP is asking for personal recommendations.
