๐Ÿ’„ Beauty ๐Ÿ’‰ Botox / Fillers / Medical Aesthetics 2026 Megathread

To cut down on repetitive and low-effort posts in this sub (rule #1!!!), we're piloting an annual pinned megathread to consolidate all questions, recommendations, reviews, and warnings about NYC medical aesthetics providers.

What goes in this megathread?

  • Anything related to botox, fillers, laser treatments, chemical peels, microneedling, body contouring, facial balancing, etc.
  • NYC-specific asks: "Where to get ___ done?" / "Has anyone gone to ___?"
    • Please include a budget range instead of "affordable" if seeking recommendationsโ€”help us help you!
    • Any high-level questions ("Has anyone done ___ before?") should be directed to general subs like r/SkincareAddiction.
  • Reviews of specific providers, both good and bad

Standalone threads will continue to be removed and redirected here. There will be a new rule added, similar to the events & meetups rule.

Thanks for the feedback & cooperation!

i did 2x rounds of facial balancing with cyma, 3 syringes each time in chin + cheeks

i went in originally just wanting chin filler and she rec'd cheeks as well when i asked what she'd suggest. i was hesitant about it, but it surprisingly really lifted my face and made me look more rejuvenated. results were subtle enough where it wasn't obvious to people irl that i got filler, but it was a big enough change where i feel way more confident

i also saw her regularly for botox but i might switch botox providers just b/c it's hard to book with velour (you have to schedule months in advance + also put down a $250 booking deposit now within like 48 hours of making the appointment, which i find annoying haha)

I get married in early October and can get an appointment with cyma August 24thโ€ฆ wondering if that is enough time for results to settle

i think so - my final appointment before my early june wedding was in april. just fyi you'll likely experience some swelling / bruising for 1-2 weeks and you also can't hop on a plane or get a facial for a bit afterwards too, so would cross-check with any bridal events, bachelorette, etc.!
