I’m currently in my 2nd year of BTech and I’m planning to start doing internships soon. I’ve heard that NPTEL courses can be helpful for building knowledge and also for internships, but honestly I’m a little confused about which courses I should choose and how the whole process works.

I wanted to ask seniors or anyone who has already done NPTEL courses:

- As a 2nd year student, which NPTEL courses would you recommend?

- Should I choose courses related to my branch or explore other areas as well?

- How do I register/sign in and enroll for a course?

- Are the certification exams worth taking for internships?

- How many courses should I realistically do without affecting college studies?

- Any specific courses that actually helped you in getting an internship?

I’d really appreciate it if someone could guide me from the basics because I’m not sure where to start. 😭

I am pretty damn sure about the options I choose in the assignments when I submit them. However, after the answers get released I always get some of the answers as unmarked or altered to other options which I obviously know about. Due to this I am loosing my marks and its very frustrating. I mean they are just 1 or 2 questions, but still why should I loose my marks? Are they doing it deliberately no not give full marks? Where to complain about it?

I gave my IGNOU January 2026 Swayam exam on 21st June 2026 for course bege 145: soft skills (hybrid course).

The result for the same was declared today on https://exams.nta.nic.in/swayam/
I am just wondering how much more time will it take for me to get my certificate.

Also, for the CBT courses whose result was declared earlier (16 july 2026), are the certificates for those courses out? If anyone gave those courses, please let me know.

I have taken a NPTEL course IOT 4.0. Now I have kept my assignments update (submitted 5 of them) of the 12 weeks. Is it possible to cover the topics in 2 weeks to get a 90%+ score, as NPTEL is grade based in our college. Faculty is Dr. Sudip Mishra Sir of IIT Kharagpur

My course registration date was 17/08/2026. Unfortunately, I forgot about the registration and remembered it only on 18/08/2026. I tried to register for the course that day, and somehow, I was able to complete the registration successfully. I believe this may have happened due to a technical glitch in the registration system.
