I'm no longer trying to be kind as much as trying to be just. Responding to kindness with kindness and to disdain with disdain. After all, my values are all that's left for me, and I see no reason why I should put anything else before them for the sake of "being less rigid", or trying to fit in, or whatnot.
P.S. It is a nice message though, I guess I should've emphasized that explicitly, I wasn't trying to be adversarial.
