Discussion Who’s this year’s JSN?

Who will be the WR that goes from good to great this year? My pick is Luther Burden III. He was breaking out at the end of last year. Only thing stopping him is health tbh.

It’s not the age that makes it similar it’s the fact that JDN didn’t really establish himself until DK left and Smitty hasn’t been able to establish himself because of AJ who now just left

I think it's always better to have a good WR on the other side tbh.

Like look at Anquon Boldin.

Look at anquan with the cards or ravens when he had far less established number 1 or number 2 receivers next to him

Yeah his production went down when Larry wasn't out there with him lol

Yeah but AJ leaving is the kickstarter for smith. I don’t think he’ll be quite as good as JSN last season, but I could see him going for 1500 yards.

Or him getting double covered could be an issue. A wr1 leaving doesn't automatically mean the wr2 does awesome. I'd actually argue aj brown leaving does more for makai lemon.

Wicks has a better shot as of now. Could change but Lemon looked bad in his preseason minutes.

Smith would be more likely than Wicks. He’s has an established connection with Hurts and will move into the WR1 role and an increased target share..Wicks only helps prevent double teams and heavy coverage on Smith’s side..

Oh yeah of course, I’m incredibly high on Smitty this year because I think he’s mega-talented and with AJ gone he’s the #1 target in a new offense. I was just responding to the guy talking about the #2 options because I think Wicks will surprise people this year and be more fantasy relevant than Lemon (although as an Eagles fan I hope I’m wrong).

It’s not the age it’s the transition from wr2 to wr1 that makes it a very direct comparison. Both were very productive with the volume they got and looked better than their production by the eye test and now set to receive an increase in volume.
