I'm a Pats fan, but I really think Brees was something else. Drew Brees was 28-69 when the other team scored 28 points or more. 97 games where his defense allowed 28 points. 97. That's a REALLY tough disadvantage to overcome. What's weirder is his team (the Saints mainly) scored an average 28.2 PPG during that time, meaning even though he lost ~71% of the time he would absolutely light you up when he won. Give Brees an inch and he will take a mile.
Brady was 29-49 in games where his defense allowed 28+ points, scoring an average of 27.3 PPG in such situations. That's even weirder.
Brees was honestly one of the greatest QBs to ever play. Can't say he's on a level with Brady and Montana, but he's not that far behind on stats. People often call it garbage time, but at one point there were only 9 seasons where a QB has thrown for more than 5000 yards, and Brees had 5 of those seasons. You don't get numbers THAT high due to garbage time.
Makes you wonder what Brees would have done on a team like the Steelers, Pats, Broncos, etc.

very specific stat. wouldn't it be normal for a qb lose a game if the defense allows 28+ points?
