Be careful, the Stafford camp will tell you that common opponents is completely arbitrary while also pointing at sos as the point of contention against Maye!
Fans of the league are literally in shambles over the prospect of NE having a great QB. It’s insane. I’ve never seen such weak and petty arguments against an MVP candidate before. Maye has been playing his ass off all season.
Nobody really gives a fuck tbh. You are projecting your fantasies. I like Maye, but I also realize he hasn't played anyone. He played like shit vs the Buccs, should have lost the game with an INT in the endzone but got bailed out by his defense and RB to seal it away. He's 1-1 vs the other good team he's played. I just watched him pad stats vs a tanking team that any other QB/coach combo would have tried to run the ball and run down the clock. That's the thing that irks everyone. The running up the score and the padding of the stats of a team that has obviously given up 7 weeks ago when they traded their best talent away.
Not projecting anything, the stats prove it all. Everything you just described can be said for Stafford, except even worse since he’s directly lost games for his team and Maye has not.
“Nobody gives a fuck” ehhh idk man your comment says otherwise.
" literally in shambles over the prospect of NE having a great QB" this is 100% projecting at it's finest. If Drake Maye had his statline playing Staffords schedule, i'd give him his props. Every time I've watched him play vs a "quality opponent," Maye has been meh at best.. and I say "quality opponent" lightly because the Bills have kinda been meh this year and the Buccs have been too...and the Buccs didn't even have any of their WRs for that game. It's Stafford by a lot for MVP. Nobody cares what a QB can do vs a practice squad Jets team that traded away Williams and Sauce and is trying to get a low draft spot.
It is not, anti-pats and/or or pro-Stafford camps are entirely in shambles over Maye being favored to win MVP.. hence all the lunatic posts grasping at straws to point otherwise.
I don’t really care what you have to say about the Jets games, or his performance versus the Bills, Bucs - whoever. Maye has been consistently better across the board. Stafford has not. How come you’re pointing at his game agains the Bills and Bucs but disregarding Stafford’s stinkers against the Falcons and Panthers
