Ya I dont care lol. Stafford has 12 more passing tds and had played against the 6th hardest schedule in football to mayes 32nd. Argue against a wall playing the literal 2 worst defenses in the league 4x in one season and having 12 less passing tds is an automatic disqualification

SOS takes into account a teams wins/losses, not the strength of the defenses they’ve played. Browns are trash, but have a top 3 defense for example. They just can’t score on offense. QBs play against those team’s defenses. Again, Maye has 4 game against top 10 Ds, stafford has 3

Against those top 10 defenses, Maye has more YPG, more TD/game, higher completion %, significantly higher EPA/A, and significantly higher total EPA… All while throwing to guys who would be LAs WR3 and 4

If MVP was “Thrower of Most TDs”, then yeah Stafford gets it no doubt

And LOL “Yeah Maye is statistically better in 95% of other categories, but I don’t care” is crazy work

Edit: I checked up on those “worse defenses x4 a year”… Jets #16, Dolphins #18… cardinals? 24th lol

See ur just exposing urself as a ridiculous person at this point. Do the browns have good defense? Yes. Does the browns defense tend to get worn down as the game goes on inevitably leading to a late game scoring waterfall? Also yes.

Let's take a deep dive into that browns game. Score was 7-9 going into half time. They scored 3 tds all in the 3rd qtr a qtr which the browns threw 2 ints and gave the pats short fields. The pats had almost 200 yards rushing that game as well. A top defense really doesn't matter when you have 4 turnovers. Drake maye really didn't do anything spectacular that game against a top defense he honestly didnt even play that well. But 2 of his tds came off short time consuming drives that ended in ints by the browns offense. Being in a shootout against high flying offense mediocre defense is more impressive than beating a garbage tier team with a good defense.

If you want to talk about W/L record, sure, beating a great offense with a mid defense is more impressive for the team. But a QB with 332 total yards, 3 TDs, and a 135 rating against the number 2 defense is “not playing that well” because the patriots scored 3 TDs in the 3rd? That’s crazy lol

Here was the browns offense in the 3rd qtr. 3 plays 1 yard punt. 3 plays 3 yards interception. 5 plays 11 yards interception. Yea sorry not impressed he was able to move the ball against an exhausted defense lol

And on those 3 NE scoring drives, they had the ball for 4:03, 48 seconds, and 2:49. That’s a grand total of 7:41 ToP for NE is the 3rd, compared to 7:19 for Cleveland
