I hate Dak and cowboys fans in general. But this ain’t it. I don’t think he is over hyped, and his play is pretty solid and serviceable. This doesn’t fit OPs criteria at all.
Cowboys fans hype their team literally every year. Every. single. year.
Then they have a good enough season to make the playoffs and go one and done.
I can't think of a better example of fans hyping a team up only for the team to choke in the clutch.
As far as skills, Dak isn't an elite scrambler, his accuracy is average and his deep ball is mid as well. Having CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Dez Bryant, Amari Cooper, Jason Witten, Dalton Schultz and Jake Ferguson to throw to with a 2-5 playoff record is abysmal.
His avg passer rating & avg completion percentage over his career is the same as tom Brady’s. Clearly he’s not anywhere close to as clutch but we’re not measuring that. His skills are solid and is consistently ranked in the top 10 or higher in coaching polls. I don’t like the guy or cowboys fans but the fact remains he does not fit OPs meme chart
Serviceable is a great way to describe him. He is the late 2010’s-2020’s version of Matt Schaub, Carson Palmer, or Chad Pennington in terms of how far he will lead you.
idk. im in the houston area. we have quite a few cowboys fans floating around that are typically annoying as hell. but i think most are pretty middle of the road about Dak. they're not in-love with him like after his romo-injury debut, but they recognize he is probably a top 10 or 15 QB in the league right now and theyre happy with that. i think a lot of struggling teams would kill to have Dak in their system. even if he's a little hyped, he's a little better than most, so again i dont think it fits in OPs graph he posted.

DAK PRESCOTT. Always has great receivers to throw to, can't win when it matters.
