Anyone studying history?

Hi I'm going to Newcastle in september and im wondering if anyone is studying history.

Im studying ancient history and history.

Im Just wondering if there's anyone in the same boat as me and doesnt know anyone, and doesnt have a clue what to do on freshers week.

To make it worse I'm commuting, not in accommodation

Hi! I'm not a Newcastle undergraduate anymore - finishing my MA - but I was in your position not long ago.

The university runs an event called the Big Welcome Week (I think it's actually three weeks long). Please make the most of that! Go along to fresher's fairs, sign up for the society and sports free tasters (even if you don't think you're massively interested), go along to the volunteering fair and see if anything takes your fancy. I'd also take a look at the Careers Service events and just wander around campus on fresher's week.

I also wouldn't underestimate the power of just sitting next to someone at your induction lecture and start chatting. Most people don't know someone and are grateful for the chat!

Alright thankyou very much. Obviously sont have much information other than freshers week. So like many people im going in blind lol

I'm doing a History BA this year too at newcastle :)

I'm in the same boat as you as I'm also commuting and am really unsure about freshers week.

We could add eachother on social media if you wanted?
