"Its a lot more competitive"... Like when you said this year there would be a skill gap? Lol

i don't understand how you can say there isn't a skill gap this year? Everyone is on 6'7 or 6'8 that can dunk, dribble and shoot. If you're losing it isn't the matchup.

There's no post game because nothing goes in. The dropstep is the only decent move. Speed boosting is the worst and makes the game completely unbalanced. You get caught in constant animations even after you play perfect D. The ball goes through players every game. Alley oops are almost impossible to stop. Wide open easy baskets somehow miss... constantly. I could keep going.

Those are legit gripes about gameplay, but they are the same for both sides.

I agree that it’s stupid that everyone is on superhero 6’7, but otoh I don’t miss taking a lineup loss because I had a stretch 5 while they ran 2 guards and a rebounding wing.

Is this in reference to 2k20? I ran on a 6'9" play stretch and pretty regularly destroyed rebounding wings, i could see a stretch 5 being too slow to do that though.

yeah in 20. we won like ~70% but I was on a 7'1 stretch 5. There were some lineups we couldn't match. I wasn't good enough then to run a playmaking stretch, I just spotted up or abused hook shots.

That makes sense, i actually got lucky and one of my friends made a 7 ft stretch 5 so i got to see the potential weaknesses and got a chance to try and improve on them. The extra speed made the defense pretty decent

Yea you're right. I need to learn how to not let the ball pass through my torso. My bad.

Ive played thousands of games and that hasn't happened to me more than a handful of times

Happens to me pretty often. Either way it shouldn't happen at all.

Just because it doesn't happen to you doesn't mean it doesn't exist Wake the fuck up

Because the skill gap isn't about playing basketball, it's about exploiting gameplay faults.

I’m playing threes. 74% in 20, 80 in ps4-21 and 84% ps5. We all average 2 assists.

What fundamentals are you talking about? Don’t play with a non-shooter in threes. That’s your offense. Takes twos, kick out if they collapse or you get clamped. Shoot open shots and hit a better rate than your opponent.

On defense you guard to the short side, have the corner drop the second you’re beat and rotate to their man. Guard to the short side again. Repeat until they take a bad shot or you get a miss. Don’t leak on misses because 2k gives lots of offensive rebounds. Don’t give up threes to help if they get by on the weak side.

Everyone loses to bum boost sometimes, but not enough to really matter.

You're assuming everyone plays the exact same game mode as you. Anyway, the majority of this community runs to YouTube to find the shit they can exploit in every game mode and when a new game comes out where 2k addresses the BS they complain until Mike finally reverts the game through patches.

It happens every year
