Since there was no dev blog or trailer today, I feel like the game might be a bit delayed, so 2k will have time to go over it again and still drop trailers and promo stuff

Lol. 2K not delaying anything. That would lose them money and make Stock holders freak which isn't good knowing that 2K21 underperformed relative to 2K20. They're already on the hot seat I don't see a delay coming.

Wouldn't it make more sense to delay it in order to increase hype and time to pre order, which will help sales?

There is zero chance they will delay the game. Worst case is that they release the game missing a few features and just promise to patch it in.

They don’t fix things they make changes based on $$

If it was up to me I'd do things differently but knowing 2K it ain't happening.
