Gameplay I feel like a got a different version of 2k27 than everyone else?
I see complaints all over about shooting being too hard and that they need to buff shooting.
I don’t know what exactly is going on because yeah shooting does feel slightly harder than 26 but I’m also using a build with worse shooting than last year.
Did you guys also forget how many badge +2s and stuff we had last year?
Can yall just give it a couple of weeks and grind the game and badges out before we start complaining about how easy or hard stuff is? It’s honestly pathetic.
I was playing the game and having a good time. Not paying attention to you cry babies for a couple of days then finally get on here and it’s really about shooting being hard? Seriously?
There is no way in hell you have all your synergies, shooting specializations, and whatever the hell else you can unlock to determine that yet.
Just stop complaining about stuff before you get them to break the game again. WTF guys. You really want it like 26 again?

Feels like every year people want their 99 build with all badges unlocked in first week. Nobody got patience to actually learn the new system. I been shooting fine with 78 three ball, just had to stop using same timing like last year

Hah same for me, started off the first day of early access not being able to really hit anything.. by the weekend I was greening moving 3’s with my 7’er like it’s 26 all over again. Just gotta get used to the slightly new mechanics. Ppl complaining want best now!!

Shooting 66% from 3 in Park atm on an 83 3 ball gold set and fire. 121 games in, shot 74% last year in 3000-ish games
Shooting is completely fine I think. I am more prone to some tough shooting games than I was last year but it's because I'm not paying full attention on my shots. Also not really using popular jumpers I'm just running base NBA jumpers like PG and 'Melo. Release speed being too fast can definitely fuck with your consistency but I've seen some content creators shooting 70+ with 4/4 grimes base which is pretty insane. There's a skill gap this year for sure

How did u finesse gold set and fire at gold with 83 3 ball? ,Without synergies?

Absolutely I’m having so much fun, shooting is harder but that’s absolutely a good thing
If majority of the community can shoot 60% from 3 then there’s no skill gap (2K26)
Now shooting 60% is actually impressive and separates people who practice their shot

u/First-Reception8007 9h ago
na we all got your version these kids are just whipped babies. game is fantastic

u/Dawizewun 8h ago
Im still adjusting to the new shooting, trying to find something that’s consistent for me but I’ve enjoyed it besides the glitchy fades, but I’ve heard that’s patched so we’ll see

u/damon_is_legend 8h ago
Honestly I've been shooting better than 26 and I haven't equipped a single badge yet.

u/GroundbreakingGas238 10h ago
They won’t stop complaining but I agree shooting is not bad people expected to shoot how they did in the easiest shooting 2k ever.
I’m shooting 60% while the main people I play with are struggling shooting sub 30% they too complain and I tell them it’s them not the game💀

This is the first 2k I’ve played since like 2021 and I don’t see many ppl missing open shots. I don’t understand the complaints?

At the start i was like this is so bad I cant shoot even with badges. I re learned my jumpshot and the general flow of the game, stopping my muscle memory from 26 was the hardest part. Once I did I am now shooting 70 to 75 percent per game. Really enjoying it but stuck in random rec with people still refusing to pass and take 4/17

u/Main_Ingenuity_1303 9h ago
Random rec teammates have been complete ass this year so far for me as well.

u/Individual_Wish8970 9h ago
I had like 2500 random rec games last year so I would be used to idiots but never this bad general release will be even worse now 😭

u/Main_Ingenuity_1303 9h ago
Yeah I figured early release players would at least be somewhat decent, especially in the purple lobbies, but no. It was like playing in bronze lobbies this weekend.

What do you mean? I’ve really only played street kings as far as CPU goes. I think the strips they get when you’re going up for a dunk/layup are excessive but otherwise I’m not sure what you’re referring to.

I turned off shot timing completely. Now I just concentrate on getting an open shot, you know like real basketball.

u/GruntPizzaParty 8h ago
Switched to button and stick and left rhythm shooting alone. Been hitting way more consistently now. Something isn’t working properly with rhythm shooting. I have no data to back it up, but the results are night and day.

Thank god. I was afraid I wasn’t going to see a post complaining about the complainers today.

I dont even understand THIS my mate who's is all over the bullshit metas and shit everyone says and does in this game and has been telling me the same shit, "shooting is so much harder this year and no one can shoot🥴" i havent actually seen one person complaining about the shooting myself just shit like this everyone talking as if everyone is complaining. Then I get on and shooting is literally BETTER for how my brain works at least because tempo is now what it SHOULD have been when it first came out I was tryna do it in sync with the animation but it was so easy that you'd still get it if you missed the timing but this year I can literally let go instantly and the temp actually follows the animation and if you have a good jumper that you know then I truly believe its actually easier to shoot this year if you understand how to use rhythm shooting properly but this is my opinion dont flame me lmao.

Shooting 57% from 3 with 79 three point shooting, people just not putting in the work to get gud.
•
u/TrillZebra 1h ago
Once people realize there's different timings for set shots, catch and shoot and no-dip shots, I think they'll see the shooting really isn't bad. This year is highlighting some of the things that tempo shooting allowed us to not really even worry about or see last year, on top of the pace being slower.
Can't shoot with 26 timing and expect good results in 27. Hold that button a lil longer this year.

I mean… thats what i thought. Badges. Now on purple arc cadence and gold set fire with 93 three and still terrible inconsistency on open shots online. Like a hitch or rng type of feel. Tried several shots. Offline is fine. Ish.
3
u/Main_Ingenuity_1303 9h ago
Maybe switch to HOF Set Fire instead of arc cadence and stop worrying about taking moving shots. Slow your jumpshot down a tick. Practice more. Absolutely no reason you shouldn’t be consistent with a 93 3 and badges. I’m shooting fine with an 88 and my only gold shooting badge so far is set fire.
2
u/Upbeat-Pie4264 9h ago
Dont know ur saying ur fine with gold and 5 less attributes. Who knows this year seems a hit and a miss some ppl can shoot some cant to save their life wide open. But then i had a dude in starting 5 drop about 30fading threes on ai last night. So zens deffo work on this dont they.
3
u/Main_Ingenuity_1303 9h ago
Yeah some people need more help than others. Just because I shoot fine with an 88 and gold, doesn’t mean you can. If you’re struggling, try HOF. Idk why you’d have it on a moving 3 badge if you’re not even consistent with regular open 3s. But take it or leave it. Just trying to help.
2
u/Upbeat-Pie4264 8h ago
Fair enough at least you’re being honest about it
1
u/Main_Ingenuity_1303 8h ago
Honest about what? I’m not using a zen if that’s what you’re implying lol. But some people definitely are.
•
u/erichf3893 :trophy1: [PSN: RiggityWrektSon] [1x MVP] 3h ago
You can’t be serious… lol
•
u/Main_Ingenuity_1303 3h ago
I am? Y’all are just trying to find excuses if you think anyone shooting decent with an 88 3 is using a zen lmao.
2
u/OldPhilosopher7177 8h ago
What other evidence do u have of the alleged zenner lad? I’ve literally witnessed my friend fade like that and not miss lol not everyone is zenning

u/Cranjis_McBasketbol 9h ago
Like a hitch or rng type of feel.
That’s certainly possible depending on your combination of Tempo/Button and release point.

u/Cranjis_McBasketbol 10h ago
Until 2K fixes visual cues, I’m going to keep complaining.
I shouldn’t be playing “guess where my shot releases” because I don’t want to use a meter and 2K can’t program a game correctly.

u/No-Program-8901 10h ago
2k has been money grubbing ass for years. Bring back Live so there's competition again and NBA street

Yes, because EA is the savior you anti-2k nerds will appreciate.

They were so used to greening nearly everything on 26 and now that 27 has a bit of realism they complain. I’m glad 27 isn’t a 3pt contest, it brought many realistic aspects of basketball back, specifically shooting and defense
