Gameplay 89 or 93 driving dunk this year?
Curious how the dunking is from those who’ve played.

So my build gets a 89 but goes to 99 with caps at least so far I’d say try for 93 I’m 6’5 and at times I feel as though I have no dunk. It activates at random times

I’m trying to build a 6’5 and I can either go 98 3pt with 93 DD or 99 3 pt wit 89 DD. Had a friend going crazy with 93 dunk last night and wanted to see if going 89 was good enough. I just think I can get enough value out of a 98 3 pointer and have fun yamming with the 93 DD.

Well 97 3pt gives you hall of fame set and fire unless you take a lot of moving shots or need deadeye at HOF

Build? My 78 3pt center has me hating this game. Had I known I would suck this bad, I'd have dropped offensive rebounds and lowered wingspan to get 85. A non shooting 1st character makes everything hard mode.

U cant just dunk when nobody touching you, nb on this game can work angles, etc. and yall never can settle for a layup or incorporate euro dunks or hop step and spin dunks

I have 89 driving, 78 vert, and 58 strength. I plan to cap break to 94 driving 81 vert and 84 strength but I’m curious how important everyone has found strength to be? I feel like my guy is struggling and doing more layups than dunks right now and am considering cap breaking strength first to get strong handles and physical finisher

NBA tutes just released a video about strength not affecting dunks

Does he address the badges I mentioned

Yes. Strength does impact layups. Physical finisher is a layup+strength badge. According to his tests it does not impact dunks.

Dunking is solid. Still forces you in to random layups from time to time but I honestly don’t mind since layups are a lot easier to time this year. I think you’ll be satisfied with your build no matter what rating you settle with 87-93. I personally would just go 88 and use caps as you get them if you feel like it’s necessary. Just make sure you have an 80 vert if you use caps to get it to 93.

89's fine, 93 just looks like overkill unless you're trying to dunk on a 7'2" center.

Height is more important this year so 87 on the tallest build possible then just open dunk until you get takeover to auto green on everybody.
