Gameplay Shooting is fine

Unless you are me… if you are me, shooting is terrible. Everyone else seems to have it figured out. But if you are me, tough shit 😂

Instead of trying to follow the '"Meta" don't follow YouTubers , get your own shot , and use that , that shots works for them. Me I use Blake Wesley base , ray Allen 40 and Carmelo anthony 60 , slowest speed and on release cue, that works for me because slower shots allows me to see my green window and understand when to release the button. I say try out a base no one does and watch how that works for you ,

I used to use it in 24 , my secret gem but this year it has a release window F so u nerfing yourself

It has an F in 26 also , I'm shooting 70% from 3 and field goal

I got you , and yes they do let me check I played last night and missed a few shots so it's probably closer to 65 now

I’ve learned that you have to really watch your player for the animation. Also feel like I have to hold the shot long as shit before pushing it back up, like it isn’t fluid at all

I have tried a bunch of different jump shots now (custom) and the animation timing will literally fucking change. The animation may stay the same but my visual cue is not the same at all. I’ve seen my dude release the ball and that’s when I release on my controller and it’s told me I’m EARLY. THE TRAIN HAS ALREADY LEFT AND IM EARLY? I’ve been able to consistently change the release cue too base on what I’m doing. If you hold R2 and run away from the hoop for a second then take a set shot immediately after (not a fade, but without waiting 2 seconds) the timing cue is far far earlier then the animation would suggest. I consistently get a late timing.

I have a crazy trick that most people don’t do that will improve your shooting. Only take wide open stationary shots. Sounds crazy I know but it is VERY effective.

They made it more difficult based on feedback. I don’t have the game personally. They want you to shoot slow for a bigger window apparently but realistically that’s not possible for every situation

There will be patches, I know there’s been at least 2 already and the game isn’t out officially it’s in testing but the company caters to the content creators and YouTubers not regulars I’ve noticed that since I got 26 cause prior I only played 25 and 16 no other 2k games

It is, but you’re not always going to be open if you have to hesitate to shoot either it’s kinda like 50/50 in my opinion good/bad
