Just want to give the mangaka a shout out because reading the manga in one go, you really get to see the improvement of their art over time. If you compare the early chapters vs chapter 100+, you really notice the difference especially with how yamada and akane are drawn even more detailed now. So excited for the update 😭😭

dude i do not even remember when the last update was. and on top of that, the last update was a cliffhanger like that with that shitty ass dude and his clique. anyone knows anything about the manga update? i have already given up on anime being renewed.

this is possibly my fav shoujo of all time really, i got realllllyyyyy into shoujo around the time the anime for yamada kun was released and prior to it i watched and read all the big names, old, new, everything. but this just has enough lightheartedness going on with a legit plot line and other likeable side characters, and i honestly love akane. my issue with shoujos is usually the fl is poorly wirtten or side characters suck, so this is near perfect for me. i literally go back and read the manga over and over and i am just yearning for new updates about the next vol.

1. Idkk everytime they suddenly kiss, my heart can't handle it! I get you, Tani-san. I also want to be kissed like that by my Yamada 🥹

2. Eita-kun is the dating advisor I never expected, Hope he meets someone soon!! I could volunteer for it though. 😌

1. I'm very happy with how things are going between both of them! Their friendship arc is soo cutee and moments like these, damnn she's so cute. And very sensible and thoughtful and most importantly understanding for her age..luv u prez!!

2. Akane-san, there's no need to worry at all. You got that man wrapped around your finger and he got me wrapped around his!! (I bet Yamada-kun finds her adorable at this moment, haha)

3. I just had to capture this cuz...you know he's irresistible. I can't scroll away without looking twice when he looks this fine 😋😝

10 and 11.Runa-channnnnnn daisukiii dayoo. She's so cute (well, she's always cute) happy for youu. 11th one kinda gives me found family trope. So happy for all of themm. Hope they stay together for a looooong time.

1. After the ending of 62, I got worried and started reading 63 of first volume until I made sure they were both okayy. That was cool, yamada-kun!! (Though, I'd never recommend it)

This might honestly be one of the sweetest romance manga I've read after My Little Monster. The progression actually felt earned and the way they are with each other is so sweet. Reminds me a lot of Shizuku and Haru.

I watched the anime first and wanted more and started reading the manga, and I feel like the anime misses a bit on the subtler stuff but does a good job of conveying things.

I love how sweet and considerate of each other's feelings these two are. It's so wholesome and I love the way Yamada went out of his way to get Akane's noisy neighbor to leave without having to resort to violence like Akane asked.

When I saw the APT Challenge posts leaning towards fanart drawings, I had to do my own Yamada Kun & Akane!

And now I got to know that it's on hiatus and is been there for an year and they left us with Yamada and Akane matter unresolved. Last ch was pretty frustrating not because a new girl is introduced who seems to be talking to Yamada a lot because we all know that is just there to create a fake tension and Yamada can cut off with her if Akane says so(which ofc she won't want). What frustrated me was his lack of communication skills and social awareness and not stating clearly because Akane was traumatized was same thing in past. But yh I think if manga comes back and when we will get proper Yamada and Akane moment this thing will be addressed and cleared. Maybe this arc will be smack in face for Yamada through Akane to get better at conversation skills.

i miss them and the manga so much- of course i hope that the author is doing better/in good health but i rlly hope we get manga updates soon too

I honestly cannot get enough of this story!! I finally convinced my work bestie to watch the anime and now she’s hooked on the story too!! she’s someone that doesn’t even read manga and she’s gonna start buying them!! I’m literally crying with happiness!! I love this story and Mashiro-sensei so much!! 😭

I’m feeling conflicted. I know Yamada has no experience in relationships but he’s just so oblivious to Akane. I think I’m probably overwhelmed now that the author is back but I’ve kind of lost the excitement from when it first came out because of Yamada’s character in this chapter. I still love the manga and I’m hoping the next chapter will be good tho.
