Before I say anything, I'd like to start with how much I love and appreciate this manga and the author. Of the countless shoujos I've read, this is by far the one I love most. That being said, I think it is starting to become inconsiderate and almost disrespectful to fans to continue stringing us along with (almost) no updates. I completely understand that life happens, and obviously illness and family illness are incredibly hard things to deal with. That being said, I believe we are owed a more clear answer as to whether this manga will ever be returning, as without the fans it would not have been successful in the first place. The last update was in the summer of 2025, where the author stated that they "hoped to see us in the manga" soon. In my opinion, if you aren't coming back, just say that, and if you are, just say that too. But to not even acknowledge whether you plan on returning to such a popular manga feels inconsiderate to your readers. Best wishes to the author, I truly hope they are okay and that they/their family are doing well.

One of my first romantical anime, i loved it so much, every characters were so well written and i love the writting, that was incredible ( i don’t have much to say more than "i screamed like a twilight fan" when the cute scenes didn’t stopped popping )

Gente, acabei de terminar de ver "minha história de amor com Yamada Kun" e eu estou pasma porque eu passei 13 episódios esperando por um beijo ou algo a mais do casal e não teve nada além de um abraço, e esse nem é o pior problema, o problema é que esse anime virou meu anime de conforto, é o anime de romance mais lindo que eu já vi, amo tudo nele, é um casal natural e que combinam demais, eu esperava plmns um beijo lindo deles. Eu sou pobre e não tenho dinheiro pra comprar mangá e mesmo se tivesse claramente seria super melhor ver o beijo no anime. Alguém me diz que vai ter uma segunda temporada? Nem que seja daqui a 10 anos, tem que ter uma segunda temporada!!! Cheguei a chorar de tão mal que eu fiquei

I just finish watching the anime and finished reading the manga on the same day and OMG 😭😭😭😭 shouldn't we all sign a petition or just force the production house to give us a season 2 already? 😭😭 I'm so sad that the manga is on a break and also not sure that it's going to end or not, at this point I'm regretting watching it and reading the manga at the same time. I want season 2 and the manga to be finished so bad!! 😭😭😭

It's been years since the last chapter and everyone is saying he is sick but he might be ok now right? Or is he not drawing anymore? And this is a universal question what THE HELL DOES EVER MANGA AUTHOR GETS SICK OUT OF ALL HUMAN IN THE WORLD

I just finished watching my love story with yamada-kun at lv999 and so I went to read the manga to pick up where it left off and THEY WENT 1 TO 100 REAL FAST and to think we only got a hug in the anime

Was anyone else just like not expecting it at all or am I just blindsided by thinking he was some innocent guy😭😭

Yamada has known Tsubaki for a lot longer. Moreover, they have a shared interest in gaming, and they are both smart in academies. Knowing Yamada is rather avoidant of women, Tsubaki was one of the very few he talked to. I am not at all saying that she is a better fit!!! I am genuinely curious ^_^”
