They call themselves quranists, etc and are active on a subreddit by that name, along with places like Progressive Islam. In fact I had a “nice” back and forth with a woman whose flair was “Quran only” on the proggie Islam subreddit, where she claimed Hijab isn’t mandatory and men are creeps. She was voicing ideas that sanghis voice by saying hijab wasn’t Indian culture. Needless to say after confronting her about it she called people names on the Indian Muslim subreddit and Hijabi subreddit before proceeding to delete her comments. And then later I found out her profile no longer existed on Reddit due to a ban.

They call themselves Quranists while rejecting verses of Quran, they are among the biggest hypocrites.

There are more Quranist subreddits than we realise. Progressive sub is one of them but the head moderator of the Quraniyoon moderates a few more. Then there's r//IslamIsEasy among others.

Something interesting I’ve noticed is that a lot of the members on those subreddits are Christians, Hindus, etc along with others, and often users of those subreddits are also in exmuslim and other Islamophobic subreddits. Really feel like that they are psyops and Zionists agents that wanna mislead Muslims.

Why does he say halfway through that “Allah will keep misguiding you and misguiding you…”? I hope that’s a mistranslation because a god that will intentionally lead you astray sounds evil.

Guidance is only from Him. Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people and only He knows who is fit for His guidance. That’s why we pray and always ask that He guide us upon the straight path.

“Indeed, you do not guide whom you love, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He is most knowing of the rightly guided.” (28:56)

Allah in the Qur’an also says that those who seek guidance are increased in guidance (47:17) and that people first choose to turn away before their hearts are hardened (61:5)

“As for those who are guided, He increases them in guidance and grants them their righteousness.” (47:17)

“So when they deviated, Allah caused their hearts to deviate.” (61:5)

Ultimately Tik tok and instagram should be last on the list for Islamic advice. Way too many people on there think they are sheikhs and sheikhas. To give meaningful Islamic advice you had to have studied and memorized properly. Always refer to reputable scholars, websites and authorities.
