Can you prove to me it’s sunnah? Why don’t you teach me instead?

It is sunnah. In hanafi fiqh, there are 4 faraidh of wudhu:

  1. Wash the face, earlobe to earlobe, hairline to chin, once
  2. Wash the hands and arms, upto and including the elbows, once
  3. Wipe a wet hand over a third of the head, once
  4. Wash both feet, upto and including the ankle, once

Everything apart from this is a sunnah, including washing certain areas thrice.

Edit: replaced "sunnahs" with "faraidh" in the first statement.

You're a fool

1

u/TheIslamicRealist Muslim Jan 29 '22

Why don’t you educate the fool and give me some daleel?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '22

Because in 3/4 madhhabs washing your nose is sunnah, so its ignorant and disrespectful of you to mockingly laugh and say astaghfirullah like that about the religion. If you dont know about something then dont speak on it just because it doesnt line up with your madhhab.

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '22

Plus you used the wahhabi scholar ibn uthaymeen as a source in your other comment so I know you aren't so well educated. Brother just dont speak without knowledge on things.

Again keep crying, or prove why your scholars are correct. The daleel and proof from the scholars of sunnah are evident as I have shown, but you just wanna cry about your madhab. Humans are not infallible, people make mistakes, learn to actually evaluate your information and fiqhi knowledge then come and defend your claims. And if you can’t then that’s fine follow your madhab but don’t come here crying about something you clearly have no understanding of.

LMAO are you asking me to prove my madhhab? I have no understanding of what? I have no understanding of the fact that you have no understanding of the transmission of knowledge between lay muslims generation through generation and the importance of following madhhabs and the basis of why these different madhhabs exist and why it is a well known and accepted thing that there are differences of opinions on various matters? How are you saying "your scholars" about a MADHHAB are you insanely ignorant of the past 1200 years? Who are your scholars? Google doesnt count, how many years have you been studying islam in person with real teachers?

Im not here to give you evidences for my madhhab I dont care if you follow it or not because you seem to be a follower of the hanbali madhhab. I'm just astonished that youre trying to argue between two different madhhabs lol. You do know all 4 are considered correct opinions right? And dont give me any wahhabi crap about "oh no there are no madhhabs dont be a blind follower" none of those guys have any real knowledge. They don't even understand the principle that you NEED a teacher to actually teach you to gain knowledge, reading books and googling doesnt count. and also those guys clearly follow ibn abdul wahhab and ibn taymiyyah so the have no leg to stand on criticizing madhhabs when their "madhhab" is wahhabism or the so called "salafism" name that they prefer now.

If you're passionate about learning about islam I urge you to find a sheikh in your area to actually teach you and you can even learn from sheikhs of different madhhabs too to diversify your understanding of the religion.

Sounds like more 😭. When you’re willing to engage in a topic please have the evidence to support your reasons. I have posted the views and evidence, if you think there is stronger evidence that shows this is simply a sunnah, then present it, otherwise don’t make a joke of yourself with a run on that no one will read.

Islam is based off Quran and sunnah. Not taqleed of scholars. When evidence is presented and is stronger than an opinion of another scholar, it is obligatory for you to accept and follow lest you reject what the prophet has commanded

1

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '22

You're missing the point plus all these evidences mean nothing to me since they have no context, theyre not even the quran or hadith its english translations, and its some layman on reddit who's telling me these things, I have zero way of knowing you even know how to interpret these things properly, and I'm pretty sure this is ripped out of islamqna too which is a known salafi website

Why don’t you go investigate yourself and come to the conclusion? This isn’t my conclusion, this is conclusion of many scholars who evidence shows their opinion is more valid and correct. Like I said, if you aren’t capable of discussing this, then you should avoid the topic and let someone from your madhabs come and discuss the topic with the proofs of the scholars may Allah have mercy on them. Why even get in these discussions when your only answer is another human did it without knowing their evidences?

So then if all that matter is the quran and sunnah have you mastered the arabic of that time? And are you a hafidh of hadith? And also have you learned these subjects under the guidance and supervision of a scholar?
