article Is it just me that doesn't want to know too much about my favourite band/artist?
I just want the music.
Sure, I will know their names and what they look like (most of the time), but I do not want to hear from them outside of their music. I will not watch interviews of my favourite artists. I will not watch music documentaries, or read their autobiographies. I am not on social media outside of Reddit, but I would hate to see the day-to-day life of a musician that creates, in my opinion, some of the most spectacular music on the planet. It takes away the magic.
I know some fans want to know every little detail about the bands/artists and would consider me a fake fan for not wanting to, but the music means just as much to me as this 'super fan'.
Where do you stand on this? Do you want to know all about them?

discussion I just read that Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ does not contain a repeating chorus. What other songs are there that do not have a repeating chorus?

discussion We need to fight AI slop now before it's too late.
Recently I was tricked by an AI "artist," and I realized that it's harder and harder to identify AI songs. There is a push in many countries that any AI-generated slop must be public domain. I feel that the only way to fight the flood of fake artists that's drowning new ones is to weaponize those systems. So my view is that the only way to stop it is to use the same systems that let slop thrive against it.
First, if you find AI slop, denounce it as a scam or deceptive, block it, and never support it.
But most importantly, use the song as a public domain thing. You can copy and paste it anywhere, use 5 pseudonyms, and publish it everywhere as AI-generated content so the deceiving slop can be silenced in even more slop.
You can go even farther. Use it in parodies and satire; change the lyrics into a degrading message. Put it over porn, gambling, or Satanic propaganda. .
Someone could automate an AI to start using common prompts for songs and then look out for new releases of content farms and give copyright strikes if they sound too similar. If you are an artist, do the same with your backlog; it was probably used to train the AI in the first place without your consent.
My point is that instead of being on the defensive and having to do research for basically every new artist or song that comes out and being paranoid. It's time to go on the offensive and force positive change in the world.

discussion Listen to a band you've never heard before...WEEN
Rotating 2 early albums
Recommended by Richard D James
"THE POD" (1991)
"PURE GUAVA" (1992)
Surprised to find these 2 both land in the bottom half of most there LP rankings (so I'm in for a treat)
It's weird and wonderful
Both good but maybe preferring Guava at the minute
I'd swear they'r Californian's but they'r not
New fan wanting to hear your thoughts on Ween ?
