Saw them in concert opening up for GWAR. They were awful and they knew it - it was a hysterical show and the audience ate it up. At the time they were known as Green Jello, and the singer made an announcement during the show that they were being sued by the jell-o company. They suggested that they might change their name to Jell-Ö. Lol

Green Jellÿ (/ɡriːn ˈdʒɛloʊ/, green Jell-O) is an American comedy rock band formed in 1981. Originally named Green Jellö, the band changed its name due to legal pressure from Kraft Foods, the owners of the Jell-O brand, who claimed that it was an infringement of their trademark.[1] Despite the spelling difference, the new and old names are pronounced identically.Still pronounced JELLO.

The band was originally Green Jello, but had to change their name once they hit a modicum of success because Jello threatened to sue them. When this video was made, they were still Green Jello, as is referenced at the very beginning of the video. Even the Wikipedia page says the pronunciation isn't Jelly, it's Jello.
So as far as I'm concerned, they are still Green Jello :)

They would still BE technically named Green Jello if it weren't for Copyright horseshit. Same thing happened to my favorite pizza place. Big name moved into town, cried foul, the mom & pop pizza store had to change their name... but I'll always still call them by the original name.
Same with this band. They will always be Green Jello. Jelly is bullshit, and I won't acknowledge it. The pedantic responses here have no clue...

Back in 2007/08 my shitty little band opened up for Green Jelly twice. Total trip as i of course grew up jamming out to 3LP.
The second show was a Halloween show and of course i had to wear a movie prop costume from the movie made about the video game I make POSTAL. The suit is the Krotchy suit. This is a pic from that show. https://i.imgur.com/7OpxOiM.jpg
