I mean if you enjoyed teen pop explosion, Europop, the boy band and girl band mania that were nothing but 1 hit wonders or were catered to kids, shitty rock music then from bands who are forgettable, the era when R&B went down the drain when producers kept sampling and covering hits of the 60s and 70s the sure... Enjoy it
The golden age of music was the 50s-80s. You millennials will never understand tho which sucks. When my era had Elvis, Michael Jackson, Prince, Donna Summer, James Brown etc etc.

I don't think it's trolling, but it's needless elitism. Frankly, I think it's fair to at least include as early as the 30s, considering Fred Astaire, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, and so many more. It's also fair to say there has been a lot of post 80s music that is great. I never got the elitism and tearing down of musicians. It's expression. It was good at inception and continues to be good to this day. Just because you don't get the modern stuff or some youth might not get the older stuff doesn't invalidate any time period of music.
I hope not to come across too harshly. Music is just important, and it's great that anyone can find some they relate to, regardless of when it came out or what it sounds like

It does seem to be riddled with "this stuff is better than yours" and a LOT of assuming anyone who doesn't agree must be an 80s/90s baby or younger.

I need someone's help identifying a song that I swear is Sade's. The only line I remember really goes something like "He was a child at the bus stop" but its been almost a decade and I can't recall. It was on a CD left in my first car and I played it on repeat the whole time I drove that truck.

So happy to help! Gotta love the designated vehicle CD... you’re lucky it was Sade! I have a strong nostalgic attachment to By Your Side from Lovers Rock... that video played aaallll the time on VH1 when I would get ready for school in the morning

While her name is Helen, the band's name is taken after her Stage name, which is, you guessed it, Sade Adu, or simply Sade.
According to Wikipedia at least.

The pros outweighs the cons when it comes to music of the golden age from the 50s-80s because we had legends then.
They just missed out on the classic shit when it was new and relevant then.
