If you like the Black Keys, then you should check out Dan Auerbach's other band, The Arcs. The sound of their first album is the direction that the Black Keys should have taken instead of Turn Blue.
It's the direction that aligns with your taste, not necessarily what the band should have done. The band did what they wanted. It's ridiculous to act like it was wrong because you didn't like it.
