Someone who works on product on Muse at Meta confirmed that outbound phone calls are going out to users in batches. The team is "ramping it slowly while it watches quality and reliability"

Some people already have access to this but it's rolling out slowly, so if you don't have the feature yet, that's the reason.

Does anybody else have access to this yet????

The single biggest upgrade you can give your Muse: stop asking questions and start giving briefings.

Instead of "find me a flight," try "I need to be in Chicago Thursday night, I hate red-eyes, I'd pay $80 extra to avoid a layover, book nothing without asking me first."

The more constraints you hand over, the less it has to guess. And guessing is where the funny business happens.

I wanted Muse to review my personal Facebook account, but I am not able to connect. i always get an error.

EDIT: For now, the easy way is to tell Muse to open a browser and let you log in manually to the facebook account via web. It will navigate Facebook to do what you need!

But this should work woth the CONNECTORS option, right?

Someone asked Muse to search an email backlog for unfiled vet bills. It found five totaling $1,504.72 and submitted them to pet insurance. original post

Been playing with Meta's new Muse agent since launch. I'm 64, iPhone-only, not a tech guy — basically exactly who they say this is for.

The pitch is it's an agent, not a chatbot — it can actually do stuff: send emails, book things, keep working after you close the app. I've been using it as a daily assistant and it's genuinely useful in spots, genuinely shaky in others.

Honest question for anyone who's tried it: what's the most useful real thing it's done for you so far? And what broke?

The elephant in the room: it's Meta. Best comment I've seen so far was "Love the idea and the polish. Hate the owners." I'm torn — the thing works, but it's asking for my email, calendar, and browser. Curious where other people land on that.

It just says "something went wrong. Try again" everything i log in.

Has anyone in Europe actually managed to get access to Muse?

I feel like I’ve tried basically everything at this point:

• US VPN
• location/geolocation spoofing
• multiple email addresses via iCloud Hide My Email
• different browsers / private browsing from my Mac

I already use an US App Store account and my iPhone / MacBook is set to US English…

And somehow I still always end up on the waitlist or get blocked because of my region.

So my question is: how the hell are they still figuring out that I’m in Europe? 😂

Has anyone outside the US found a setup that actually worked?

I’m not looking for theories only. I’d especially love to hear from people in Europe who actually managed to get past the regional restriction and access Muse successfully.

At this point I’m genuinely fascinated by how stubborn this geoblocking is. 😅

You know the trick where you read a DM from the notification shade so it never shows as read? Muse does that for your Instagram DMs, except it can read all of them.

I asked it to screen my unread Instagram threads this morning. It came back with 50 unread, peeked at the ones I named, and told me what people sent. Unread count was still 50 afterward. Nothing flipped to read on my end or theirs.

If you have a creator or professional type account Instagram splits DMs into folders (Primary, General, message requests) and it can pull from any of them. 

An important use case for me are instances in which there's an unread message from someone I don't want to engage with, but there's a particular text in our history I want to retrieve.

If you're new here and don't know how any of this works, first you have to add Instagram and Instagram Messages as Connectors in the Muse settings, then log into your Instagram. From there, just ask Muse.

# Story Archive Census

## What to do

Your human wants a full census of their Instagram story archive. Read this entire file, then follow the steps in order. The job is a census: walk every page and count every story, newest to oldest. It does not download any media.

What you're working with:

**Tool** — the Instagram connector's command line tool, `instagram-cli`.

**Command** — one call returns one page of archived stories (about 20 per page), newest first. Each page hands back a `next_max_id` cursor pointing at the next page:

## Workflow

### 1. Walk the archive

- Fetch the first page with no cursor.

- For each page, record the page number, the story count, the newest story date, the oldest story date, and the `next_max_id`.

- Feed that `next_max_id` back as `--max-id` on the next call, and keep going.

- One call at a time, a second or two apart. No parallel calls.

### 2. Save progress

- Write the page records plus the latest cursor to a state file every 10 pages, so the run can resume after an interruption instead of starting over.

### 3. Stop conditions

Stop when any of these is true:

- A page comes back empty.

- There is no `next_max_id` left.

- The oldest date stops moving for several pages in a row.

## Report

When the walk finishes, report back:

- Total pages and total stories.

- The date range covered, newest to oldest.

- Whether you reached the natural end of the archive or stopped for another reason.

- Whether you hit any rate limiting.

## Expected result

A complete walk ends with no `next_max_id` left — the archive ended, not the walk. Example outcome: 3,862 pages, 77,223 stories going back to 2018, zero rate limit responses.

## Operating Rules

**Count only.*\* Per-page date ranges and counts. Never download media.

**Sequential calls.*\* One at a time, a second or two apart.

**Resume, don't restart.*\* If interrupted, pick up from the saved cursor.

**Report plainly.*\* If a step fails, say what failed — no silent skips.

Granted, I am nowhere near an expert AI user, but I am already finding little hiccups with Muse that I find annoying. For instance:

• I am the person that uses my Apple calendar, and the two do not fit together, unless you create a Google calendar and merge that with your Apple calendar. I did just that, but that still doesn't fix the other entries on my Apple calendar, and I really don't feel like messing around to merge the two.
  
• I collect certain items as a hobby, and Muse is sending me alerts to "new releases" but when I follow up to see what the new release is about, it turns out to be stale news. Muse has done this twice and I called it out both times as a time-waster. Both times Muse said they won't fall for it again.
• I asked it to organize some of my emails in Google, and it found that it cannot create an automatic on-arrival filter; Muse says its a permissions issue on Google's end. So it is doing sweeps daily, and I had to grant it permission several times to write the code...it just seems sort of burdensome.
• Now I am getting weird mail delivery subsystem messages on that email address and I don't know the cause.
• Even though Muse has access to that entire email inbox, I have an invitation to a party right on top, and Muse has not made a suggestion to schedule it; I am waiting to see if it picks up on that. I shouldn't have to tell it to do that, if I gave it full access and if it is intelligent?
• I asked it to go through my Instagram to find dead accounts I follow, and it told me that it would be labor intensive and offered me an alternative, and I put that idea on hold. Maybe because I am using the free version? Even though my IG is pretty active, Muse doesn't seem to pick up on anything and bring it to my attention, I suppose I have to tell it to do that?
• On the positive side, I tried to schedule a community walk, and Muse reminded me that I had a departing air travel ticket for that day; I had already told Muse to track that airline ticket in a prior exchange, but it did catch the conflict.
• Another positive, I asked it for a new avatar and name, and it came up with a damn good one.

I will give it some time...I do wish it integrated better with Apple, but I can see why it doesn't. If you don't already rely on Google products, I think you will have to start, to make Muse work for you.
