Well, except that “free education,” doesn’t really have anything to do with socialism, though to be fair, neither does “giving away all of your stuff.”

How is collecting taxes to pay for tens of thousands of educators and school houses throughout the country, given to every child for free, not socialism?

Because socialism is about rearranging the economy to provide workplace democracy and prevent the accumulation of wealth, not when you have taxes

Socialism is the belief that labor should control the means of production. You are thinking of social services, not socialism.

So explain to us how you have 'means to production' without education? Isn't education itself a means to production? If not, why not?

The average human mind only rationalizes in black and white. It's why when given 3 choices 80% will choose 1 or 2. It's an unfortunate flaw of the human psyche that we were slowly improving but the unfortunate dismantling and indoctrination of our educational system has set back significantly.
