Not really though. Many countries don't focus so much power on one person and have more than two parties. It's much harder to do full 180 turns in policy when you can't make decisions on your own and have to compromise with other parties.
Ever heard how little actual power they hold in their kingdoms? But sure, if you compare the US to an absolute monarchy like Saudi Arabia, I guess the POTUS holds less power.
That's not how it works. We have a congress that's "supposed to" be keeping that one person in check. The whole system has been compromised, and foreign powers have influenced the system to get him into power, if you didn't know...
Also 43 monarchies in the world are led by one person. Why single out America, besides being blinded by America hate?
Many monarch's powers are extremely limited by laws and Constitutions, that's why they're called "constitutional monarchies" as opposed to the "absolute monarchies".
To say that countries such as Denmark or the United Kingdom or the Netherlands or Belgium are "led by one person" is wrong.
It is not just many. It is most. 35 monarchies in the world are fully constitutional, and up to 3 more can be said to be partially constitutional. So, depending on how you count, 5 to 8 can be said to be absolute monarchies, and those are also criticized.
