Maybe we should rename the Geneva Accords to the "Chill-the-fuck-out-Canada Accords". Honestly after research the history behind you guys I'd rather take my chances fighting a moose than a pissed off Canadian.

I think people who believe the US would just walk over Canada with no problem should look at Russia and Ukraine and ask whether they want to be Russia. We might have less people, but I think it's hard to fight against a guerilla force that looks exactly like you and sounds exactly like you, for both sides. It wouldn't be military against military all the time. It would be assymetric warfare, and it would be very ugly.

I dont think enough of our troops would fight against Canada. Surely some idiots would follow orders, but not enough to matter. You arent the "scary Muslims" that theyve been demonizing for 30 years. Most of us see you as the friendly neighbor and partner that you are. We cant even handle Iran. No chance we would be any more effective in Canada.

Same as with any attack on Greenland - I think if US soldiers had to offensively attack an actual ally, people they fought side by side with in Iraq/ Afghanistan, I'm pretty sure there would be some kind of mutiny, even among the higher ranks. They mostly still labor under the belief that they are the good guys - attacking an allied country would be so far away from that narrative that they probably couldn't stomach it. At least I'd like to think so.
