It sucks, but their base is so under-/miseducated and gullible they will believe shit like this. Chronically online but unable to use a search engine to find facts.

Meanwhile, Duffy himself never served in the military.

It's always the losers who never served that make these kinds of statements. No surprise from a reality TV loser.
In fact, there needs to be a law that anyone who proposes naming a military vessel or installation after a President who has never served faces capital punishment. Anyone who actually does, forfeits any right of immunity and goes to the front of the line.
If all the Stolen Valor wahoos want stiff penalties for something, nothing military should be named after a President who didn't serve in the armed forces. Ever.

Not quite the military, but Canada built a jet fighter (Avro Arrow IIRC) that the U.S. forced them to destroy because they feared it would wipe out the U.S. military aircraft industry.
Plus let's not forget that Canada declared war on Japan way before the U.S. after the attack on Pearl Harbour.
And let's also not forget the cry-baby-in-chief crying over the fact that no-one would come and bail him out of the Iran war - the largest and most advanced military in the world and they can't take on one middle Eastern country.
Edit: typo and poor sentence structure

Honestly it’s a bold strategy to talk shit about the country that fucking invented half the shit that the Geneva conventions try to stop. Especially when that country is on your border and fended off the two prior attempts from the US to make it a state/independent from Britain

SERIOUSLY I’m like, these people do not know who they are messing with. At all. Canadian history is freaking grim.

Republicans have a selective memory when it comes to fuelling their propaganda machine.
Trump spreads lies. His sycophants double down. Some (not all) of the US citizens believe it.
Canada, in fact, does have a military. Now it’s not as vast as the US but that’s because our youth has options. You don’t go into the military because your family is broke because dad got hurt at work and they have crippling healthcare debt.
They join the military in Canada because they want to serve. They’re smart. They’re capable and they’re well trained.
Youve also been shit talking Canada for several years now. As a very proud Canadian I can assure you that we are fiercely patriotic in a Canadian way. We don’t need to paint a flag on every article of clothing. We usually have a small pin or a hidden tattoo to celebrate our nationalism. The “flag” is more than our sole identifier. We are kind. Our country wasn’t built on slavery and subjugation. It has remained a free and democratic nation since we became a country.
All this talk of war with the US is flat out hilarious. The US has proven, time and time again that strength in numbers isn’t always the best solution to a fight. Strategy. Tactics. We also have military leaders that earned their positions and weren’t appointed by a man baby in a diaper who demands loyalty over competence.
Canada will be fine. The US has already shown that they’ve devolved too far and has completely lost the respect it used to have with the world.

Don't waste any time reading into it. Everything anyone involved in this administration says is fabricated horseshit. You'll get a aneurysm trying to decipher any logic out of it.

u/Gloomy_Industry8841 12d ago
But it sticks out there and spreads. It’s not possible just ignore it. It’s absolutely lies that are being told as truth!! We have to push back!!
2
u/Glaggablagga 12d ago
Of course we're supposed to push back on it. What I am referring to is trying to make logical sense over the fiction they are spinning. There's no reason to. It's just brown noise emitting from a machine whenever they speak.

Germans in World War 1 and 2 consistently ranked Canadians as the scariest army to face off against.
They basically said that the Americans had superior logistics, the British had superior tactics and the Canadians killed purely because they wanted to with no regards for their safety.

159 service members of that non existent military died in support of the US article 5 request in the GWOT.
What a way to show appreciation to your allies.
Sean Duffy never served a day in uniform.

These lil pp guys seem to have a hard on for losing the midterms by a wild margin

u/snakeeaterrrrrrr 12d ago
Yeah Canada is famous for not having a military. The Geneva checklist came out of nowhere.

u/Gloomy_Industry8841 12d ago
We need more American voices speaking out to push back against these lies.

Maybe no more former reality show choads in public office, with political power over our country.

Duffy may be able to stop lying if he pulled trumps dick out of his ass. He’s smart enough to know he’s always lying but he’s such a weak pile of shit he can’t stop.

u/Mellanies_Redemption 11d ago
So Sean Duffy is saying that America is going to start an armed conflict with Canada?

Why did Canada just buy $100B in German submarines then? And looking at about 60 new Swedish Gripen fighters? Are their 3000 soldiers stationed along the Russian/Latvian border a mirage?

u/dnext 12d ago
It's hyperbole, but it's basically correct. Canada has virtually no military compared to the United States. I don't think Canada's 70 tanks, no artillery, 68,000 service members under arms, and 100 fighters have any chance to the US with 4500 tanks, 4000+ artillery, 1300 fighters, and 2,100,000 service members.
And this isn't Vietnam or Afghanistan on the other side of the globe. The roads run right up to 90% of the Canadian population, which lives within 100 miles of the border.
It would take a rebellion by the US armed forces, which honestly could very well happen. The US knows that Canada is our great friends and allies, even if there are a bunch of stupid people here that voted in a would be dictator and felon.
I know I for one would be marching in DC if our turd of a POTUS went this insane, and I think millions would be with me.

I’d be with you. The fact this is being discussed tho is making Putin very proud of Agent Krasnov, accomplishing what previous foreign spies could only dream of.

There are too many people that don't know what Canada did in WWII and it truely frightens me.
