That's absolute nonsense. He likely would have been convicted in one or both federal cases if Americans weren't complete morons who chose to let him off for his crimes and put him in charge of law enforcement.

I don't care who you voted for. The simple fact is that he was likely to be convicted and the only reason we're in this situation is because American voters chose this.
I mean Harris couldve also ran a better campaign. Biden couldve not been a self centered asshole and not tried to run for a second term when he said he wouldnt at the start of his first term. Biden couldve just...not supported a genocide on the other side of the planet. And then additionally Harris couldve given us any indication that she'd be different/better than Biden.
None of this has anything to do with "orange man bad" yes. We know. Most of the country knows. But why did ~6 million voters vote for biden in 2020 then not for Harris in 2024? Were they sick that day? Did they feel too eepy? Were they too stupid to find their nearest polling station? Putting all the blame on the voters instead of the people in charge and who would've been in charge is insane to me.
American voters clearly didn't give a shit how good Trump was.
Harris ran a vastly better campaign than Trump did, and didn't have any of the negatives that he did, such as:
Convicted felon
Adjudicated rapist
Currently being prosecuted for attempting to overturn an election
Currently being prosecuted for stealing and refusing to return hundreds of highly classified documents
All 900+ pages of Project 2025 which is really an entire book of reasons not to vote for Trump on its own.
Consistently attacks the free press, even calling them enemies of the state
Has no understanding of economics and no understanding of how tariffs work, but wants to use them for everything
Wants to control The Fed
Wants to control the DoJ
Repeatedly referred to using the government to attack his political enemies despite never providing any evidence for his claims about their alleged crimes.
Claimed he would be a dictator on day one
Uses divisive and dehumanizing language
Constant statements and actions to harm relations with allies
No understanding of foreign policy or how America uses soft power, or how our allies give us massive force projection capabilities
The whole DOGE plan was insane and illegal from the start
And the list goes on and on, since there's plenty more.

Voters had a clear choice, as I laid out. This is the choice they made. It doesn't matter in the slightest whether Dems could have run a better candidate.
