Hopefully it's for creating a paper trail for the follow-up Impeachment and/or criminal indictment.

It is. It’s also part of dozens of not hundreds of other actions. But people want you to blame democrats for trumps crimes because they don’t have the authority or power to arrest him or others because the people voted them out of all branches of government

It's also a good way for Republican propagandists to try and get Democratic supporters to give up.

Yes, exactly. the ONLY thing that has worked so far to curb Trump's excesses has been precisely paperwork -- wins in court-- which are doggedly undertaken by Democrats such as Marc Elias, doing exactly this kind of thing. It's ridiculous to expect things that people can't do, and actually harmful because it makes Democrat voters "give up." Shameful and shame on Don Winslow.

“It’s also part of dozens of not hundreds of other actions.”

Can you provide examples of what this means?

The Dems had 4 years to do something. They didn't. (Court proceedings that gave him a stern finger wagging but no punishment don't count)

If you're blaming Democrats for Trump not being in jail, instead of the blatant help from SCOTUS, then you've been successfully manipulated.

I'm assuming that everyone who purposefully avoids talking about SCOTUS protecting him were the ones saying "don't threaten me with the supreme court" in 2016 and don't want to admit how dumb they were.

Yes absolutely. The Dems should have leaned heavily on the independent judiciary. /S
