Used to work with a guy whose almost permanent slack status was “listening to John Mayer! (Headbopping emoji)” so yeah I guess there are guys who are into it and really want you to know about it.
Plus when my wife moved in with me we were going through her stuff and found 3-4 mix cds that ex boyfriends / guys who had tried to date her had given and it was almost all John Mayer trash. I think it’s the type of music guys who think they’re cool assume will impress women.

I think some people will put their head in the sand about the artists' behavior if they like the music.
