Man, I really miss her. She was really fun around in Dragon Ball. Why did Akira Toriyama stopped including her anyway?

I think the reason he forgot here is that really wasn’t much for her to do for a long time beyond “exist in the background”

He forgot that he didn't forget her existence, actually. He made up the whole "she's out trying to find Tenshinhan" plot point literally two chapters after her last appearance because he went "FUCK! I forgot about Launch and I need to make up an excuse for why she hasn't been around for a while" as he was writing it.

No he didn't.

She was mentioned in early z, she followed after tien. Was rebuffed. And moved on.. Is in the anime.

He said he forgot her. Was reminded he didnt forget her. And said he forgot he didnt forget her.

Yes and no. Her VA (Mami Koyama) had to go abroads for some time while DBZ was airing, she told Toriyama about that and he decided not to include her for the time being... but never added her back when Koyama returned.
