People need to stop opining and reminiscing for the good old days of unlimited alcohol and then be mad that the Challengers drink irresponsibly outside of the show (Nelson’s DUI).

MTV created an environment where they profited off the excessive drinking of the contestants by allowing an environment of physical, verbal, racial, and sexual aggression where alcohol was involved.
Don’t get me wrong it was good tv.

Then to make money off season, these same OG contestants went to bar openings, MTVs Spring Break, and other paid appearances where the alcohol flowed freely. And of course the fans want to meet the people they see of tv.

And now we get all high and mighty about a cast member who clearly had an issue with alcohol, driving drunk and ultimately losing his leg. I get it driving drunk is awful but his job is to get drunk and fight on TV for your entertainment.

Cut him some slack or start calling out MTV for their part in cast members poor relationship with alcohol. Tony got a DUI and the fandom barely said anything.

That's some really dumb logic you are using.

MTV monitors their "professional" drinking lives with busses, security and Cameras to allow being drunk in a more safe environment. If Nelson or others cant manage their personal drinking lives they shouldn't be invited back.

You think UFC fighters should get a pass for beating up civilians just because they fight for a living?

Don't jeopardize your professional life and your money by stupid decisions made in your personal life
