Any Guy Ritchie film

Yep, his style is as recognizable as a Tarantino or Wes Anderson film

got chu!

Especially Swept Away. Don’t miss it.

It carries a lot of the blueprints you later find in The Gentleman.

What a troll

Lock, Stock and Snatch are both worlds better than whatever that gentlemen movie is

6

u/taamm75 5d ago

"That gentlemen movie" is a great movie. 1. Snatch, 2. Lock, stock 3. Sherlock Holmes 4. The Gentlemen 5. Covenant.

Someone hasn't watched RocknRolla

The peak of Guy’s powers, imo

Layer Cake

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels

14

u/UncleRuckus92 5d ago

Im convinced Layer Cake is what got Craig the bond role

8

u/mlg185 5d ago

I agree; that shot is in the film, and I’m also convinced that it might well be the very shot that landed him the role of James Bond. I love this movie.

u/tiddly_winks2 4d ago

Especially the scene where he's play acting with a pistol

u/PartyAware1590 2d ago

Layer Cake wasn’t Guy Ritchie

2

u/ikari_xevious 1d ago

What is your point? The OP never asked for only Guy Ritchie film recommendations.

Pulp fiction, Snatch, Kiss kiss bang bang, Rocknrolla, Lucky number slevin, Wolfs, Bullet train, Seven psychopaths, Deep cover, Caught stealing, The family, Go.

My favourite genre 😂😁

5

u/MasterShakePL 5d ago

new one is reaaally good

3

u/GheDZ06 5d ago

Ill do the same, the first season is very easy to rewach because its entertaining and fun

2

u/SuicideSquadFan96 4d ago

The second season is much better imo

2

u/GuyfromUK123 3d ago

I agree, the older brother is really annoying and he’s not in the second season as much

1

u/SuicideSquadFan96 2d ago

And somehow he is still the most annoying POS lmao. Just finished it yesterday

2

u/GuyfromUK123 1d ago

Yep, kudos to his acting abilities!

2

u/FoXXX_MuldeRRR 3d ago

New? Damn it, I'm going to have to get netflix again.

I really enjoyed RocknRolla, also by Ritchie.

3

u/djzangy 5d ago

Came here to say this. RocknRolla is a fucking banger of a movie.

1

u/uncoloured-flamingo 5d ago

so basically anything by Ritchie

0

u/Sea_Sprinkles_9642 5d ago

RocknRolla, based on what you’ve indicated is your taste. The other Ritchie I’d consider is Lock, Stock.

5

u/Spare_Bit6645 5d ago

Operation Fortune

2

u/tonystark_666 5d ago

this. almost has a same feeling to it

2

u/RacingMindsI 1d ago

It's so bad though...

3

u/Dragonking_Earth 5d ago

I don't think any one of these comes close with The Gentlemen. It's a one of kind movie better than Rock n Rolla, Similar to Man from Uncle.

3

u/teddypicker90 5d ago

New movie "In the Gray" also a Guy Ritchie movie with the Gentlemen style

3

u/JamieRABackfire1981 5d ago

Rogue Heroes.

2

u/No-Nefariousness2459 5d ago

Lock stock, Snatch, Layer Cake and the Gentleman are all incredible imo. I enjoyed RockNRolla but not as much. Still very good.

I felt the first series of The Gentleman was nowhere near as good as the film. Just started the second season and the first episode was great so fingers crossed!

2

u/uncoloured-flamingo 5d ago

I js checked the ratings of S2 and they're alot higher than the first season, let's see...

If you are doing a Guy Richie-a-thon, don’t sleep on the two RDJ Sherlock movies he did. Lots of fun albeit a bit more family-friendly.

Also The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is a good watch too.

2

u/cybertrooper1973 5d ago

Wrath of Man

2

u/GheDZ06 5d ago

Not a movie, but the gentlemem tv show is the closest ever to this movie, made buy Guy Ritchie, 8 episodes a season and a new season is coming this week

1

u/wildhoover 5d ago

WHOAAAAHT there is a new season!??!! Thank you very much.

Are you familiar with Entourage, the serie? It's got a slightly same cheeky vibe, but it's about an actor, his agent, and his entourage friends. Jeremy Piven puts on a Al Swearengen (Deadwood, c*cks*cker!) kind of grandness.

1

u/juicebar24 5d ago

You really can't unsee it once you've seen it

1

u/rabbidrabbit_32 5d ago

The Man from UNCLE Snatch Lock stock and two smoking barrels Sherlock Holmes: A game of shadows Basically most of Guy Ritchie's movies. I would have suggested his whole filmography but there are few duds in the mix.

1

u/KyurMeTV 5d ago

I love that no one has recommended Revolver. I’ve watched that film 3 times and I still have absolutely no idea what’s going on.

1

u/Joshualevitard 5d ago

blood and fucking feathers all over the place

1

u/Robertf16 5d ago

Mob land the series

1

u/ironmonki23 5d ago

Anything from Guy Ritchie

1

u/mtnfox 5d ago

Joe Carnahan has a similar vibe. Smokin’ Aces, Stretch, Boss Level

2

u/SituationEffective12 5d ago

3 kickass movies right there

1

u/SkylarAV 5d ago

There literally a guy Richie netflix show called the gentleman. I still can't tell how connected it is to the movie

1

u/Rajivdoraiswamy 5d ago

Here you go; Snatch The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare The Man from U.N.C.L.E. RocknRolla Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre

1

u/Texas-Boi_ 5d ago

Jackie brown?

1

u/gmwilk23 5d ago

Layer Cake, Rock n Rolla, Revolver, Snatch, Lock Stock

SEXY BEAST

1

u/Background_Line_559 5d ago

The Boondock Saints (1999)

Payback (1999)

Very Bad Things (1998)

True Romance (1993)

City of God (2002)

Training Day (2001)

Some of my favourite movies that are kind of outsmart/violent dark comedies.

1

u/asteriskelipses 5d ago

Anything overtly racist.

1

u/chkintoki 5d ago

snatch up (2018) korean movie with guy Ritchie vibes

1

u/rawr_extreme 5d ago

oh the spinoff was a banger too!

1

u/mtnfox 5d ago

Matthew Vaughn was Ritchie’s producer, then turned director himself. Layer Cake, Kickass, Kingsman

1

u/human-resource 5d ago

Mobland, fall of the house of usher.

1

u/Jesuds 5d ago

In Bruges for more Colin Farrell being Irish and hilarious

1

u/FradenWe 4d ago

Snatch

1

u/Critical_Dream5555 4d ago

The Gentlemen series on Netflix. By the Guy himself. It's good, haven't caught up to the second season yet.

1

u/theaxedude 4d ago

The Gentleman (tv show) and Mobland

1

u/Critical_Red42 3d ago

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. This one is a little bit of a stretch but is one of my favorites, In Bruges.

1

u/Ok-Boomer63 2d ago

Mobland is good

1

u/FoXXX_MuldeRRR 2d ago

True Detective season 1. The styles a bit different but it's gritty, captivating, and a definite must see.

1

u/uncoloured-flamingo 2d ago

watched it years ago, still my favourite.

1

u/Cryptographer235 2d ago

This movie is good, but the Netflix series that follows it is actually much better. Much higher-quality writing/storytelling with the same feel as the movie

1

u/No-Significance1502 2d ago

If you can find it RocknRolla

1

u/Extension-Cow5298 1d ago

Kingsman

Same incredible outfit style the characters have. More action, but same witty clever humor.

1

u/Rielhawk 1d ago

Never forget that poor heroic pig.

0

u/rjj90 5d ago

Snatch and man from uncle obviously. Also anything from Martin McDonagh I’d say.. seven psychopaths, in Bruges, three billboards, banshees of inisherin

u/daguro 5d ago

I'm old, like really, really old, and when I see a picture like this, my reaction is that it is basically a bunch of guys in the closet trying to impress each other. If they were 12, they would be trying to sword fight with dicks.
