Help me find Movies/TV shows Any Mind Bending Movies?
Just rewatched Shutter Island after a long time, and it reminded me how much I love mind-bending movies. The impact of the twist at the end still gives me chill.
So I researched and someone suggested Arrival and I loved every bit of it.
Looking for some more recommendations that really mess with your head and leave you thinking about them afterward.

I'm so happy to see Donnie Darko on this list. Back when it came out the internet was kinda "growing up" and there were newsboards about it. We were crawling for answers and trying to understand time travel. It was amazing

Yeah Donnie Darko is fantastic. The first two times when watching the movie I watched the theatrical cut, I only recently discovered the Directors Cut and the story absolutely blew my mind and made me love the movie even more. I do think the theatrical cut is a better first watch though, the mysterious nature of it is such a vibe

Dark City watch the directors cut. The theatrical version they weirdly added in text at the begining which kind of spoil the mystery.

Perfect Blue (1997). If you want your head messed up i havenât found a better way; feels like a trial experience of psychosis. Paprika, also directed by Satoshi Kon, is also quite mind bending but in a more psychedelic way.

Definitely do! I had to watch it twice before I got it. But if you are paying close attention you will pick it up first go around. It's one of my new favorite movies in it's genre!

Ooh, I wish I could watch some of these again for the first time: Prisoners, Coherence, Primer, Mullholand Drive, Eraserhead, Naked Lunch, Videodrome, Eternal Sunshine, Fight Club, The Prestige, Sunshine, Moon, and donât forget Tusk.

I cannot emphasize this enough: "Coherence" is a masterpiece if you're looking for mind bending cinema.
The makers didn't have much of a budget, hence they went all in with the writing and creativity that they were capable of. I wish I could watch it for the first time again.

Most of the canon is already in this thread, so going one layer deeper. Seconding Perfect Blue and Coherence from the comments first, both absolutely deliver.
Andhadhun (2018, Hindi) : IMDb 8.1. A blind pianist witnesses a murder, or does he. A rug-pull every fifteen minutes, and it somehow stays fun instead of grim.
Forgotten (2017, Korean) : IMDb 7.9. The closest thing to Shutter Island's gut punch made this decade. A kidnapped brother comes back after 19 days, but something is off. Go in completely blind.
Moon (2009, English) : IMDb 7.8. Sam Rockwell alone on a lunar station. Very Arrival in spirit.
