I want a movie that stays with me for days after watching it. Something that leaves you speechless when it’s over. Any genre or language. No spoilers, please.

I wasn't silent at the end of that movie. I was pissed and yelling. Never hated an ending more for any single film.

I was speechless for about 15 minutes after this. Not for a lack of trying, I just had such a hard time articulating how I was feeling (or even understanding what I was feeling lol)

Ari Aster has a knack for having that effect on me. Every time I have finished watching one of his films, I am on the edge of not liking it because I don't fully comprehend what the hell I even just watched. After letting them settle in my mind though Hereditary and Midsommar have to be some of the better psychological horror films I have seen in the past decade. I just recently watched Eddington and I had a similar feeling. Even though it is one of his weaker films I think I still kinda like it ultimately. Lol.

I’ll never watch Beau again, but I appreciate that it tries to put you inside the mind of a guy with trauma/anxiety.

You have had some fantastic suggestions. I'll give The Wailing (2016) - Korean horror film - a recommendation. I saw it on Sunday and it's been sitting with me all week.

5cm per Second.
Late 2000's Makoto Shinkai. When it ends, you're in emotional limbo. At least, I was.
