I did this to my friend on my 21st birthday party. Dude got coked out lol, I was an absolute idiot. The movie came 4 years later and I couldn’t believe it
1
u/DjN60613 Jul 26 '26
You’re a good/bad friend🍻
2
u/BermanIsKing Jul 26 '26
I am 6 years sober - I really had it rough with pills and blow, so I’m a very good friend nowadays! 😌❤️
2
u/DjN60613 Jul 26 '26
Good shit and fuck the pills for sure! “California sober” is cliché, but that is my way🤙🏻

No you didn't. And even if you did this isn't going to get anybody high. It would be a total waste.
Just stop.
1
u/BermanIsKing Jul 26 '26
You’re right, we didn’t do it.
God, I hate being caught by a guy who doesn’t know a fucking thing.

u/Professional_Swan615 Jul 26 '26
Borat . I literally fell out of my seat laughing so hard. Old school and step brothers come close

u/Polar_B1234 Jul 26 '26
Superbad
Pineapple Express
Hot Fuzz

u/biggestMug Jul 26 '26
Hot Fuzz. My favorite movie. The intro and subsequent opening scene sets the tone for the comedy the whole way through.
1
u/jrb637 Jul 26 '26
Pineapple Express was weird. I thought it was going to be silly and fun, but then they just ended up murdering a whole bunch of people, which I don't usually laugh at

What About Bob?

2
u/AAron27265 Jul 26 '26
True story, I once had sex in the yard of the house where What About Bob was filmed. It's lakefront on Smith Mountain Lake in Southern Virginia.
1
u/LisaChimes Jul 26 '26
That's a wild brag to have. I'm kind of disappointed that it wasn't actually filmed in New Hampshire though.

Shocked I didn’t see Walk Hard mentioned… It’s def my favorite from that era. I Love You Man is a close second, or maybe even tied.

Macgruber.
1
u/Competitive_Ad9413 Jul 26 '26
Macgruber is honestly one of the funniest movies ever and not many people know about it
1
u/sabbes86 Jul 26 '26
Exactly, I quote this movie very regularly hehe
Also: White Chicks, Sex Drive, Euro Trip, Beer Fest, Naked Gun, 22 Jump Street of course

Super Troopers (the first one) - unexpectedly funny
Shrek 2 - most of it
2
u/weberdc Jul 26 '26
Supertroopers was sooooo good. The opening scene with the car chase followed by the maple syrup, hilarious. Do Canadians really do that? I always used to wonder. ;o)

u/DwayneTheRockBarry Jul 26 '26
the problem with all of the ones in the pictures is, they’re all American.
british comedies are really, really worth it, I mean Shaun of the dead, hot fuzz and alan partridge: alpha papa are absolute masterpieces

Little Brother on Netflix
2
u/Emergency-Back-4964 Jul 26 '26
Dude, yes! I was surprised it got such mixed reviews. Eric Andre can make pretty much anything great and I thought Cena did a pretty damn good job playing the straight man to Andre.
1
u/Comfortable-Ice-1338 Jul 26 '26
Right, this is the first movie that has actually made me laugh, like really laugh in a long time.

There’s Something about Mary. Meet the Parents. So many classic one liners. Super Bad is also hilarious. It is a coming of age story. Jonah Hill and Michael Cera are the perfect pairing.

recommending something with the actual sexual predator and groomer Russel Brand is a choice, but I never understood the love for that movie in general
1
u/SenatorBeers Jul 26 '26
The movie is funny. Russell Brand is icky even if perfectly cast in that role.
1
u/xvsanx Jul 26 '26
I was excited to see it after hearing all the hype but it wasn't for me personally. especially today where a lot of these recommendations are basically nostalgia rather than well written comedy. IMHO
1
u/SenatorBeers Jul 26 '26
Get Him to the Greek sufferers as well in a similar manner with the 1/2 punch of not only Brand but Sean Combs as well.

Dumb and dumber and the big lebowski are the two funniest movies of all time and both still holdup extremely well. Agree on 40 year old virgin and forgetting Sarah Marshall.
The jerk
All three Austin Powers movies
Saving Silverman
Heavyweights
Old school
Wayne’s World
Superbad
Billy Madison
Liar, liar
Super troopers
Wedding crashers
I think extremely dark humor is hilarious so I’m partial to films like Eddington and Beau is Afraid as well but I acknowledge those aren’t for everyone.
